  1. A Captain and Pepsi, yes Pepsi only, which ruins the drink in my opinion, will run you just shy of $12.

If you order two drinks each for a couple, that’s about $48.

In what place on earth would I tip over $8 for four rum and cokes?

ANSWER: Aboard an NCL ship without a drink package.

Which they jacked the beverage package prices up so high that you couldn’t possibly drink your quota every single day and even be remotely functional every single day on a 7 night cruise even if you can drink and party most people under the table.

So you don’t buy it, but at the end of night one when you’re smashed out of your mind, you think hey maybe the beverage package is a good idea. But then you forget about the days you’ll be off the ship, and get smashed on shore and not really need the beverage package.

Then you real other “superior” cruise lines don’t charge as much, and offer higher quality drinks, and you’re like wow...

  2. I never used their website or app to book anything. They have TV screens on the walls with green and yellow and I guess red if particular dining is full.

I never saw it full or busy. Never had a problem eating where I wanted to eat. Only thing was by day 4-5 everything started tasting the same.

What you try to read on the NCL disfunctional website and reality is two different things.

  3. Wait, so you enjoyed waiting for the elevators? I only used them to go up and down 5+ decks usually. Stopping at every deck seemingly, and usually with no space for anyone else to get on. The Best was the obviously able bodied taking the elevator DOWN one deck or two. The elevator logic is terrible.

The main atrium on the Escape is lacking. There is truly no 24 hour dining option. Unless a cold sandwich is industry standard.

I made the best of this cruise, but it felt small and confined after about 4 Days. Maybe I was too active... or they just built a giant floating hotel without much else.

  4. Two nights ago a friend and I went down to guest services and had them remove the DSC from our accounts.

Guest Services was more than happy to do so.

This morning my friend and I both gave our cabin steward/housekeeper $150 cash, and headed for the airport.

Not impressed with NCL to be honest.

Vast majority of crew were very nice though. Ship was boring. Cruise director was obnoxious.
