I have been waiting a month for a refund on a markdown on a cruise.  Does anyone know how long it is taking to receive refunds?

I am thinking of shipping my luggage home from a cruise and wondering if Holland recommends anyone.  I am trying to make my trip home easy as I now have to get a covid test at the Vancouver airport.  Thank you.

I  am wondering if anyone who has done a World Cruise on Princess could tell me what it is like?  Do they have special events?  I was on a Grand Voyage on Holland and they had alot of different events and gifts.  Love Princess and curious if it is any different from a regular cruise.  Thanks for any information.,

I did the Grand South America last year!   Got back 2 days early as the Covid was starting and Carribean Islands were not letting us dock.  Was very lucky as I just avoided the mess in Florida.  Was very grateful to Holland for arranging to get us back early.   Everything was wonderful!  I had never done a cruise that long and wondered if I would get bored.  It was very port intensive, so I really enjoyed a sea day.  I did anytime dining and it worked out well.  Food was good and staff wonderful.   They had special events all the time.  We celebrated Valentine's Day, Super Bowl, Academy Awards and much more. We received many gifts and a suitcase at the end which I filled up with gifts and my shopping. Are you doing the Africa Grand?   I know you will have a great time!

I would like to have my daughter join me for lunch onboard when I board. Does anyone know how this works? Thank you .

I have heard that it is possible to invite guests for lunch when boarding. Does anyone know how this works? I am traveling alone and would like to treat my daughter and her husband. Thanks for any help.

We are sailing next week on Statendam. Previously on HAL ships some have been very cold in Alaska and some not. Has anyone been on her recently? Packing and need to know what to pack????? Thanks:)

Thank you for all the information you provide travelers. You mentioned the open air bus that was a 2 hour tour. I am wondering if you can get off at any of the stops and reboard later? Also, do you know the price. That really sounds interesting. We are looking forward to the great gelato (best ever) we had when we visited the walled old city a few years ago. Thank you.

We are just doing the 4 day on Inspiration out of Los Angeles and want to book for Caribbean next year.

I am wondering if Carnival offers any incentive for booking a cruise while onboard. We will be on a cruise with them in 2 weeks and want to book a group cruise for the family. I see good deals with discount agencies on the internet and hoping they offer something?????

I have found this boat tour that stops at several villas with tours inside going from Padua to Venice. It is a all day tour that sounds very interesting. Has anyone done this? Is it a tour that you would recommend? Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the info Mapleleaves. Glad to hear it is not difficult! I do pack light and pull my suitcase with me all the time, so should not be a problem.

We will be getting off out ship around 8am (docks at 6:45 am) and going to the train station.I am wondering if there are usually men wanting to make a few euros for caring your bag over the steps. How much do they want? Looks like a lot of steps!!! Looking at booking a non refundable train to Rome at 9:40 and hoping this is enough time allowed, or should I book a later train?????

We have never had a problem on the Crown. Have done the Norway Fjords, British Isles and will be doing Alaska this May for 2 weeks. I do not see much difference in the different ships. Can hardly wait - 2 weeks to go.

Delos is amazing. We booked with the cruise and the rest of our group were going to do it on their own. Well, we were the only ones to go as the local transportation was not running that day. So, you might want to consider booking with the ship. Also, take some bug repellant with you - there are lots of moquitos. Have fun!

We are arriving in Venice and planning on catching the train to Rome. Does anyone know what is involved with port authorities when disembarking. Thinking the time needed to walk to train is about 1/2 hour. Hoping that 2 1/2 hours will be enough!

Thanks for your help. I am wondering if it can be along process before being allowed to get off the ship. Have only been on ships leaving Venice. We will be packing light and only 1 easy rolling case each.

We will be arriving on a cruise around 7 am in Venice and thinking of booking the train to Rome at 9:25 am. WE will walk off our luggage as soon as we can and not sure how long it takes to get off the ship and to the train station. Any help would be appreciated as the train ticket is not good if we miss the one we book.

Well, I started this post as I was concerned we did not have a room assigned. I now have 2 days to go and got a call today that they would like to downgrade me to inside with a sm ship credit. Do not want inside on this trip. Something will have to happen tomorrow!

I am supposed to leave in 2 days. Have a guarantee for ov obstructed. They called our ta today and offered us a inside with a small ship cr. You all seem to be a lot luckier then me. Still hoping they can do something!!!!

We took the ferry over to the Isle of White. Got the public bus to go the Osborne House. It is the summer house Albert built for Queen Victoria. We stayed at the Holiday Inn prior to cruise - they stored our luggage and we were back in plenty of time to board our ship. Interesting place.
