  1. Hi. We are sailing out on the Magic in a couple of weeks. Can you tell me more about the $99 internet package. I thought that was something new that Carnival was offering. How come its no longer offered? Also, do you know the per minute rates? And how many devices can be attached to one account?

  2. HI,

Once you're on board, Can you change your dining from your time to fixed time dining. We are group of 12 (6 adults , 6 kids) and we have chosen Your time and from what I have read, the reviews are mixed on if it makes sense to have a big group with Your Time Dining. So once we are there and we realize that its not working out or taking too long to be seated, can we go to guest services and get it changed??

  3. The reason we want to do YTD is because we usually like to catch the 7:30 PG Comedy Show and around 8 we go do dinner and are usually done by 9:30 so we can head to the the Adult comedy show...but again...thats when its just the 4 of us. Wanted to do the same thing this time...but maybe it makes sense to choose the 8:15 dining. This way I don't have to chase people around. We may end up missing the 9:30 adult comedy though :(

We are planning on cruising during end of March/Early April (Spring Break week) on the Magic so we may have more people than say a ship might have in Feb or October

  4. So we've always done Your Time Dining when we've cruised. But its always been our family of 4. This time around, we are traveling with 2 other families of 4. So total 12 people (6 adults, 6 kids). Right now we have selected your time Dining. We are ok with them splitting us up in a group of 6& 6 or 8 & 4. BUt with the your time dining, will it be hard to get tables nearby?? Since we have kids, we would prefer them to be next to us at the table. Or should we pick assigned dining?

Also, does one MDR do Anytime Dining while the other is strictly for Assigned Dining??

  5. See thats the problem...couple of people in my husbands room are from another family. We are gonna get it all fixed once we board but in the meanwhile, I wanted to have the option of boarding by ourselves and letting them get on later if they showed up late.

We will tell them to all be there at a certain time...but just knowing them, something or other always delays them  I just don't want to be sitting at the port and waiting two hours for them.

  6. Hello Everyone,

We are booked for Carnival Magic in April. We are a big group. 3 families of 4 each. So we are 12 people altogether. 2 of families are first time cruisers. When we booked, we got the Discounted rate since everyone in my family were past cruisers. So our PVP suggested we book 3 rooms (one in DH name, one in mine and one in DS name) and to change the guests once we were on board. This way all rooms would receive our discounted rate.

So my question is that if my family reaches the port early and check ourselves in...will the others be able to do the same thing if they reach late or do we have to wait till everyone is there and then try to check in all at the same time. Since all 3 reservations are under my last name, does this mean we can't get on till they get there? From past experience, we try to be at the port early and try to get on early...but with the others, they may take their sweet old time getting to the port around 2-3 and I would hate to waste half my day waiting for them.

    Thanks

  7. So if we move the room into someone elses name and me and DS move into the room under my DH, we would see the credit being taken off from our expenses...correct. Cuz if thats true then woooohooooo :D thats $150 to spend on the cruise

We were also given a $50 OBC per room. So my question is...is that OBC associated with the names that are booked in the room or is it associated with the room number. So essentially what I am asking is that will my family get the $150 OBC since all rooms are booked in our name or when we make the changes to the room and put our friends in the correct rooms, will the credit be deducted from their bill?

    Thanks

  9. I don't know...I keep hearing these mixed reviews about rooms wrapped around the stairwell. When I was booking this room, I told the lady on the phone that it ws around a staircase..and she goes...oh the noise from that won't bother you. Dont know if Dream has something sound proof around their rooms (since its a new ship)Or if she's just saying that to make a sale.

  10. 2450: 230 sq ft... and has a junior tub... I don't know what that is... no obstructed view... Cabin 2448 does have an obstructed view... but not yours!

2456 same room, same sq feet... but no tub listed... ??????

Can u let me know where you got the above info from??

    Thanks

  11. Thanks so much for putting my mind at ease. We were given 2 options 2450 and 2456. I piced 2450 because it looked bigger. Although the lady on the phone said that both rooms were the same size. Also I thought I read someone that L-shaped rooms are usually handicapped equipped so I imagined that it would have to be roomy.

I would love it if someone had pics of that room. That would really help. I've tried searching online and had no luck

  12. Has anyone ever been in stateroom 2450. We just got an email to upgrade to oceanview from interior and got stateroom 2450. When I looked at the deck plan, I noticed that its an odd shape room. Has anyone been in that room? What are the pros and cons? Does it have an obstructed view? It looks bigger than the other oceanviews. Does anyone or any website have pics of the room?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
