  1. There are more than one type of tour...

We took the Galley Tour on The Solstice, and there were no stairs.

No stairs on the Bridge Tour either.

Have heard there are stairs on the Back Stage Theatre Tour.

And also on the BIG Behind The Scenes Ship Tour that goes many many places, lasts several hours and often includes Lunch (but also costs BIG BUCK$ )

We liked the Galley Tour very much, and learned tons. Agree with BKFLOWERMOUND if you can fit it (or any of them) into your schedule do

    Cheers!

How do we sign up for galley tour?

  2. My first cruise was aboard RC Sovereign of the Seas, May 1992, Eastern Caribbean itinerary. Went with my best friend and her college-aged daughter. Her daughter and I were engaged (not to each other!) and this was our last "girls vacation" before our weddings. The memories are bittersweet - my friend passed away five years later from cancer. I'm so glad we had the chance to go on this cruise before she became ill.

On an upnote - I introduced my husband to cruising a few years later and he loves it!

  4. It was a repositioning cruise (that started on 10/31 - Halloween! I just noted the irony!) from Boston to Florida via Bermuda. The staff told us that when using fresh fruits (as in blueberries) "these things happen". It really did freak me out because one of the main reasons we cruise is for the food.

  5. back in 2006 we were on the Jewel of the Seas. Husband had a snack in the buffet, I think it was blueberry cake or muffin. Bit something crunchy, and everyone's nightmare, a BIG beetle (whole, and intact)! We complained and they brushed it off like it was nothing. Complimentary chocolate covered strawberries showed up in our stateroom the next afternoon - that was all, not even an apology.
