  1. Never mind, I found the answer on Carnival’s site: Looks like I’ll be cruising Platinun😀

Guests graduating into a new level during a cruise will receive the benefits of the new level they are graduating into from the beginning of the cruise (e.g. those graduating to Gold on the 3rd day of a 5-day cruise will receive Gold benefits for the entire duration of their cruise). Please note that ‘debarkation day’ is not considered a ‘cruise day’, therefore, points are not earned for that day.

You said you tried and was blown off by them. You did your part.

At my job it's wear a mask if you have symptoms , but the 30 or so workers are all boostered.

What was the call center supposed to do?  They don't collect the information and have no direction to give.

    Hi Elaine5715!
What the call center should have done, was provide me with the same information that you did.  They should all be informed on the latest CCL Covid guidelines so they can address any customer questions or concerns.  And the certainly should not put someone on hold and then never pick back up. I had a simple question that could have taken a few short minutes to answer.  Hope you have a great weekend 😀

  3. I started feeling bad during the cruise, but I thought it was due to all the smoke in the casino, messing with my chest and throat.  I feel so bad by unknowingly exposing other passengers.  I know we are in a much better position dealing with Covid, but I still want to make sure I am doing the right thing for those who may have been in contact with me.  I called CCL this afternoon and received ZERO assistance.  After explaining the situation and asking what should be done, all I was told was to email post cruise and they would respond within 45 days. I reiterated that this was a Covid concern and I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing.  The lady huffed, put me on hold for almost 10 minutes, then never picked back up and sent my call to the survey.  Does anyone know the official recommendation/requirements CCL has for a situation like this or am I ok to just let it go?  Thanks so much!!

  4. I just looked on their website and the water park/Atlantis day pass as $250 per adult 😳

I am having trouble finding a day pass just to go and look around (I may be looking in the wrong area).

  5. Their website shows the private tour is $150 for up to 4 people. They emailed me with a quote for $200. I am waiting for a response on why I am being quoted more than their advertised rate. Anyone else have this happen?

  6. Apparently different caliber of people. The folks at Disney asked for privacy, not an attorney and JUSTICE. There can be no justice in this case. Justice would bring the child back. It can't happen.

What do you know about the "caliber" of this family? Instead of wasting time on speculation and judging...how about spreading some love, prayers & compassion for a family that is grieving the loss of a precious child.

  7. Last night the more the merrier rate became available on my upcoming 7 night NYE Dream cruise. I was able to go from an inside guarantee to a balcony guarantee for only $80 more for the cabin (4 of us, so only $20 more per person ) If you are traveling with 3+ passengers in one cabin, check your bookings...hopefully this can help you save some $ or give you a great option for a inexpensive upgrade!

  8. I just used it on our upcoming NYE Dream cruise! I was able to move from an inside guarantee to a balcony guarantee for only $80 more!!! There are 4 of us, so I couldn't pass up only paying $20 more per person :D So excited to be in a balcony cabin again!!

  9. That's not what is being said. MilliesMom got a price adjustment because her cruise is in August and is still prior to the final payment date.

Prices for new bookings may change right up to the day of sailing but depending on how you are booked, most fares already booked cannot be adjusted after the final payment date and a few cannot be changed ever.

    MilliesMom posted this:

...Said that price adjustments can be made up to the day of sailing, so highly recommended that we check pricing.

Am I reading it incorrectly? Don't know if this is new, or she was told incorrectly. I had always been under the impression that once final payment came, you were out of luck.

  10. We are booked on the Ruby Princess for 8/23/2015. I check the pricing often. Today I noticed there was a $350 drop per person in our pricing for the mini-suite category we had booked.

I called Princess (I had booked through them directly) and they gave me the new pricing. We still will receive the $100 onboard credit and $50 for specialty dining.

Our new total is $700 LESS than 1 week ago. LOVE IT!!!!!

Said that price adjustments can be made up to the day of sailing, so highly recommended that we check pricing.

It sure paid off for us today. Remember, if you booked through a travel agent you cannot contact Princess directly to adjust the pricing. Your agent has to do this. Also if your category cabin is sold out, many times they cannot offer you a discount either.

Wow...I did not know that. I thought I could only receive a price adjustment, prior to final payment. Guess I need to be checking my cruise fare!!
