  1. Just thought regarding luggage tags... We received a lovely booklet which I thought was a brochure for future cruises. I was about to toss it when I saw our names printed on it. I then realized it was specific to our cruise and our luggage tags were in the back. I'd be on the lookout for that booklet.

    Happy sailing!:cool::cool:

  2. There is something a little disheartening about sitting next to someone at dinner in the MDR who is wearing a baseball cap and sloppy clothes. I don't see the MDR as a casual venue but rather a place for "dining". Personally, it takes away from the overall experience for me. Don't know if anyone else feels this way...just my two cents.

  3. Unfortunately, the fare on our April Nautica cruise went down significantly. Very upsetting and they won't refund. Not so sure I'm a fan of booking early. Unless you positively absolutely must have a specific cabin, I'd keep waiting for a better deal. It seems like a counter intuitive business practice. Also wonder why this cruise was wait listed in all categories but now has many openings in almost every category. This combined with full payment 121 days out is really making me reconsider Oceania.

  4. We are on the Bangkok to Mumbai cruise too. I must get one brochure per day from Oceania. Not once has our cruise been listed. I'm really curious as to why that is. I thought maybe they tailored their brochure to the customer but that seems very unlikely. If there are few wait listed categories, why aren't they trying to sell this cruise? Do they ever cancel a cruise that is under subscribed? If anyone can explain this, I'm really interested I(and a little worried). Thanks.

  5. I do apologize for "hijacking" the initial post. I didn't realize I did that when I answered the question with a lengthy response. I thank those who tried to help with the visa question. As an aside...Visacentral has the 4/11/18 cruise ship as Insignia but it should be Nautica. The confusion continues.

  6. I've been trying to reach them all day.

    We're filling out our visa applications for a trip to India on April 11. One of the questions asks for a reference in India. When I called CIBT to clarify the question, they said I need to get that information from Oceania. This is holding up our application...which is pretty long and frustrating as it is!! Perhaps someone out there may know the answer to that question. Wondering if it's the port address in Cochin (our first stop in India).

    Thanks for any help.

  7. I have the beverage package which I can upgrade for $20 per day per person. The regular package of only wine with dinner does not work for us. The choice is between the upgraded beverage package or no beverage package and take the four (each) free excursions. We usually have a cocktail before dinner, wine with dinner and a nightcap. I can't find the prices of drinks on board. Does anyone know the cost? Any suggestions? It's our first time on Oceania so we need some help with this. Not sure about their excursions either. Do they usually do a good job?

    Thanks so much!

  8. Spoke to our travel agent today. She said we can get off as early as 3:00 a.m. That leaves lots of options for a plane to Jaipur. Feeling much better about the cost of the Oberoi now!

    Any thoughts on domestic airlines in India? Not too many with good reviews

  9. I am trying to arrange air travel to Jaipur following disembarking from our cruise in Mumbai (April 29). What would be a safe time to book our flight? I'm not sure how smoothly the process goes or if they will accommodate an early flight. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  10. We are on the next Quest cruise from Southampton to the Baltic. We are not part of a charter so I'm not sure if that is correct. If they were going to drydock, it seems like it would be between the end of the current cruise and the beginning of ours which leaves on June 11.
