Sailing with our family of 10, and have booked My Time Dining. I feel like Goldilocks; early seating is too early, late seating is too late! Ideally, we would like to be seated at 6/6:15. Is this even possible? Seems like the earliest My Time reservation is 6:45, which is cutting the 8:00 shows really close, since our party is so large, and service will be (understandably) slower. I know we could do the Windjammer, but we don't care for it. Will book specialty dining for a few days, but want the MDR experience for the remainder of the trip.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks - hot is a given. Nervous about rough seas from NY, and tropical storms in August. What do you think?

Looking into a summer cruise. Does anyone have experience leaving out of either NY/NJ or Orlando at that time? Thinking specifically about the weather. Thanks!

I was just there with my husband and two kids. It was an amazing day! No reason to book on the ship, it is a 5 minute walk from the port. Not sure about alcohol. Expensive if you don't want to go on the slides or zip lines!

I booked a van with executive VIP limo based on the advice in this thread. What a mistake! Our flight landed about 20 minutes early, and I called to notify the driver (though I was told they monitor the arrival times). Got voice mail. I called again when our baggage came, and once again when we got outside. Three total calls, 3 messages left. We waited over 20 minutes outside. My husband finally got through, and was told that the van had a mechanical issue, but they could send a replacement...in 3 hours!
My main issue is this - where were they? Executive VIP never called! We had to track them down. They couldn't have been less helpful! No folllw up, they never checked how we got to the pier, offered a discount on a future trip, nothing! We ended up taking a cab, for the same price.
I'm disappointed - will certainly never use them again, and don't think you should either!

Thanks. Seems like our best bet is to head directly to the MDR when we board to see if they can accommodate us. 5:30 early seating is simply too early for us, and late seating too late. We are Goldilocks...
