What is done at the "pre cruise screening"? Or is that just your basic stuff at the terminal desk with just a fancy name? Is there a database that they look you up to ensure you really are negative for COVID or do they just review your negative results from wherever you get it done? Thanks.

Ok so, yeah I have a debit card attached to my account. They won’t just charge it the 12th when we are getting off the ship and that’s it? Even if the money is there on that day for them to take? Lol I’m not sure why I would have to sign a promissary note, just take the money haha.

When do you pay what’s owed on your stateroom? Are you able to pay it the day of debarkation at the customer service desk? Thank you.

Wife and I are sailing on MG on the 5th of Feb. Are they running shows in the main theater or anything? That was a big question we had that we can’t find anything on. Thanks.

Also, I’m not sure where the antigen vs PCR conversation is coming from. I received an email after booking our cruise and it says either/or. 

I am active duty military and able to get tested at military clinic on base. My question is, will the cruise line accept those results at the counter? I have attached what the military results look like, not sure what results look like from an off base clinic. Please someone let me know. I booked my cruise myself, so I don’t really have a “vacation planner” to ask. Thanks!

We are just off the Caribbean Princess Transatlantic crossing and felt that the ship is in need of some TLC. Chairs in various areas are stained and frayed and some tables chipped. This was the first time in 10 cruises with Princess where we thought the ship rather 'tired'. Won't put us off though, already booked the Emerald for September.

Loved the Emerald when we sailed her a few years ago.

I must have read those same bad reviews. A "tired" ship is one thing, but filthy is something else altogether. I saw some pictures with those reviews that would make me very unhappy if it were my cabin. There also seemed to be a lot of reports of malfunctioning toilets and showers along with a strong smell of sewage in some parts of the ship.

 

Some of these reviews go back as far as February and March. Are things any better now?

Exactly, that's what I am trying to figure out.

Just booked a 6 day for my wife and I on the Caribbean Princess for December 11th of this year leaving out of Fort Lauderdale. Never sailed at this time so I have a few questions and would appreciate if I could get some input on these concerns.

First of all, how is the weather at this time? Yes it's December and technically a winter month, but being born and raised in Tampa I know it normally isn't getting cold till the end of December into January. Should I expect the same?

Secondly, I have read a lot of bad reviews on the Caribbean Princess lately. Yes they are by older people. (We are both 28). But I have cruised on the Caribbean Princess before and it was great. We are on vacation so tend to make the best out of any situation when on vacation. So just some input on the current state of the Caribbean Princess would be helpful, whether good or bad.

Also, when do they put up Christmas decorations? Should we expect to see some up already on our cruise or will they probably wait until the cruise after to put them up?

Lastly, We are doing the Western Caribbean (Cozumel, Honduras, and Belize). Have been to all of these before, but any "hidden gems" or things to do and see that won't break the bank is helpful. Thanks in advance for any and all input.

Yeah we aren't going to Mexico so I wasn't sure if they would still do something on the ship. Also because its the day were leaving too. Half price drinks?? Haha.

Do they do anything special?? I am leaving on the Dream on May 5 so thats why I am asking.

You can bring drinks into the MDR (even a can of pepsi).

However, you could bring your drink into the MDR in a glass

if you do not want to appear tacky...
