  1. I'm booked on the Epic in Feb with the UBP as one of the perks.

Who else in this booking time frame has the sinking feeling (no pun intended) that by the time we board, EVERYTHING except beer and cheap wine will be over $15.00?

Of course this may have the unforeseen consequence of folks without the UBP not buying ANY mixed drinks at those prices.

  2. I've been on the Glory once (Conquest class - same as Valor), the Dream once (bigger still), and the Legend 3 times (Spirit class - same as Pride)

I love the pass/crew ratio on the Spirit class and the fact that you can get from one end of the ship to the other without going up and down.

The Glory was nice. The Dream not so much (my entire family nicknamed it the "stink boat"). It had the same confusing layout of the Glory, but it was bigger and smelled like a septic tank - everywhere.

Having said that, I'm booked on the Valor this Oct. simply because of itinerary, and the fact that Tampa no longer has a Spirit class ship.

  3. copied and pasted from a previous post about the supper clubs:

Our family was on the Glory Aug. '09, Me, DW, DS, and DD.

Reservations were for 7:30. We arrived on time.

Some observations about the supper club:

There were only about 4 or 5 tables that were in attendance.

We had 2 blonde and attentive waitresses that were very attractive.

I could barely understand a word they said. Romanian, Slovak,

They explained the cuts of meat, "toonii we hab a beddy find and weel marabilled coots obb beees - tweeble wansis of filley. And deees eees a a streep wit tweeenty wansis."

It was like thise for each menu item as it was presented.

I smiled and acted like I understood what they were saying, because they were cute...:D

My fork and knife were strangely magnetic, and I could attach one to the other by putting them close together, and could hold them up in the air.

One of our waitresses found this very funny. When I asked why this was, she laughed and said "weee don' know why dey do dis eeder" - at least I think that's what she said...

Food was head and shoulders above the MDR.

    I'll be back. :)
