  1. Hope someone can help....

We will be disembarking at the Port of Long Beach (next to the Queen Mary) and will be getting picked up by family at the terminal. As we will not have the ability to contact our pick-up on the day (neither of us have cellphones) we are trying to coordinate a time for the meet.

The original plan was to meet around 10:30 but I have read a few posts that indicate we have to be off the ship REALLY early, with NCL this was not the case on both previous cruises we disembarked about 10 am....however, if this is not the case with Carnival we will need to advise our ride.

Please any information that could help will be appreciated.

  2. I know it's been a while since people posted on this thread so hopefully this will get an answer. We will be in Cabo in January on the Miracle and I'm reluctant to book the ship's whale watching excursion because we are on a really tight budget, but also since this is a tender port I'm concerned about pre-booking with another else in case we don't get an early enough tender.

So my question is - how likely do you think we'd be to get a zodiac-style whale watching tour just walking around the pier that would still get us back in a timely fashion?

As far as I can tell we are scheduled to be in port from 9:30 to 4 so realistically probably won't get off the ship until around 11-ish and would need to head back by about 2:30 or so.....if you disagree let me know. Thanks

  4. Great thread!! Helps us budget a bit (of course will need to review pricing next year before our cruise).

As to pricing I work at a resort in Canada and the prices are less than we pay at home, yes if I hop the border into the States prices are cheaper but this is still good pricing for a resort.

Can't beleive I have to wait a year to get my hands on one of those teriffic martinis $12 a pop at home!!!:D:D
