  1. Just got off the Pearl Alaskan cruise. Lots of cigarette smokers in Corona Cigar lounge. A few of us cigar smokers, remember to bring your own sticks in a humidor. They sell a limited number, but attendant came by once per 45 minutes. This is really just a room with no windows, big leather chairs and ashtrays. Waiters come by every now and then. They can only sell cigars while at sea. Bring a cheap bic lighter if you can, and a cutter. Casino smoking was allowed while at sea, no smoking allowed on balconies.

  2. Just returned from an NCL cruise, met several fellow piano players. Every time we saw a piano, we stopped to ask if we could play, always denied. We were given many reasons. Pianos belong to ship, if anyone HEARS you and you are not in the musicians union, could take away from their livelihood, also told that, every cruise, people who can play ask to do this, or don’t ask, just so they can play in front of other guests, aiming to impress them. So many people can play piano well, so they just say no to letting you borrow a piano. There may be one in the owners suite however, if you wanted to upgrade.
