  1. I am looking at cruise that goes to Belize and I use a wheelchair. Can anyone tell me as of March 2019 is Belize a tendered port and if it is are there any plans to make it a docked port before March 2019??????????

  2. There may be 5000 people trying to get off by the same door at the same time, but you can get in line with the rest. I cruised Oasis of the Seas, a HUGE ship, and that is what happened to us. Everyone has to pass through the same checkout/checkin portals which limits the number of people past those portals at any given time (helps to wheelchair on/off safely). There was no priority for wheelchair/scooter users (which is fine with me) but also no being pushed aside.

In my experience when you Embark or disembark from a Port of Call they usually let me and my scooter and my aide go through the staff/ entertainment plank they usually have a separate entrance at rach porr for the staff/workers and if the main one is packed they will let you use the secondary

  3. It's showing up as $24.48 CAD per person / day for me. Not sure what the USD price is.

Do you know if the Classic Non-Alcoholic package includes the drinks at Al Bacio? We like to have our cappuccino and espresso but the wording is so vague on the website. Classic package includes Premium coffees and teas and the Premium package includes Specialty coffees.

You need the premium non-alcoholic package for any specialty teas and coffees they also give the bigger waters and if you like vitamin water is included and all virgin alcoholic drinks but they're just mainly sugar

  4. Hello everyone. I was on the summit this past February. It was a chartered event 80's cruise. Anyway I am a wheelchair user and had an accessible cabin, which I had a little trouble with the accessibility.

I am going back on the 80's cruise and have booked a different accessible cabin and I was wondering if someone going on the Summit would try and get pictures of the grab bars, mainly next to the toilet, and let me know if there are any other issues with the room.

Since I had some problems I am trying to devise a way that I can temporarily add my own grab device. I already spoke with Celebrity and they said as long as it is temporary it should be fine.

My cruise is not til March 2018 but any help would be grateful.

  5. Hello all,

I've been on 2 family cruises on RCCL and 2 Solo cruises with NCL. Last summer I did the breakaway. I just got off the Gem and enjoyed that as well. This time I went on I found a Singles & Solo Travelers meeting where I met 3 nice people. Last summer I joined my roll call and there was a whole group of us, it was very cool.

I would like to try Celebrity and maybe Carnival. I have a disability and travel with an aide so I always have someone around but it's better meeting new people. I will be 47 in 2 weeks. Last week I bought those nextcruise deposits so I'm not sure when but I'll be cruisin again soon. :-)

  6. We were in Bermuda in May and booked a private island tour through Keith Simmons, Keithsimmons@logic.bm. He is disabled and has a ramp equipped van. The tour can be customized and the guide knows what is accessible. We were docked in Hamilton and the guide was waiting for us as we got off the ship. It was pricey, as is everything in Bermuda, but we loved St Georges, DH was able to roll his scooter right onto one of the smaller beaches and get close to others.

Search the boards, there's a lot of info available from people more knowledgeable than I am. You'll have a great time in Bermuda.

We will be docking at The Royal Navy Docks. I was searching and it's funny Keith was the first name I came across. I think I will e-mail him and find out some info. Thank you for the information. I've been to Bermuda before and our ports were St. George and Hamilton.
