  1. Thanks for all the advice. Doesn't sound like it would be worth it. Also seems like a better idea to get to the port around 12 or 1230 to skip all the mess. Have there been cases where the rooms were ready before 100pm (Without FTTF). I don't think I have been on a cruise yet where rooms were ready before 100 or 130pm.

  2. Haven't cruised on Carnival in long time and recently booked the Breeze this fall. Just read up on the FTTF as its new to me and wanted to get opinion on if its worth it for the price for the Breeze out of Miami. Will have two staterooms with three kids and like the idea of not waiting but I understand that this will also be a premier (something like that) casino cruise which gets to board before FTTF also. Wondering if by the time they get to FTTF there will not be that many left anyway to board. Probably will arrive at port by 1130 or 12. I read you get a special line at guest services and first numbers for disembarking but will that matter also if you have higher status and casino in front of you.

  3. Having trouble on deciding on my first Med cruise. Narrowed down to 14 day Indy of seas vs 12 day brilliance with overnight in Venice route. Would love to hear some insights and opinion on which would be best. Both are close in price with slightly higher to brilliance. Been on both class ships multiple times so it's more itinerary for me. I have been leaning toward brilliance due to Venice, however, two extra nights on Indy with better flight options and price into London make me re think.

  4. I've sailed both. Oasis is a great ship especially for the entertainment. I lean toward Freedom class though. While there are more venues on the Oasis, a lot are smaller to fit on the ship. A lot of the places don't have any windows to see the ocean outside, like all the food places in Central Park and most on the boardwalk.

  5. I'm not surprised by the move to China, even though I was looking forward to the Quantum. On several of my past cruises out of FLL, there was a significant amount of passengers from other countries than the US. When on the Oasis, almost half the ship was Chinese. They actually made announcements in Chinese and the dining room servers would sing in English first then again in Chinese. While I like the diversity and meeting people from other countries, it seems like fewer and fewer Americans are cruising. If all those people are paying international flights and the premium prices for Oasis, why wouldn't they put a ship there.

  6. When I started this post, I was told by the sales agent on board previous cruise that there was a strong rumor that the Quantum would leave NY and I was sure it would involve switching with the Liberty. Would not have ever guessed China though! Scratching my head on that one. Liberty is a great add to to NY. Surprised that neither of the Quantum class is going somewhere in Florida.

  7. I used my old future booking from a year ago for last weeks cruise. Gave me the old OBCs and showed up right away only on my booking confirmation though. I printed it and carried with me on cruise shop just in case. The credits showed on sea pass card right away. Nice to start your cruise in negative dollars!

  8. I thought it was odd also and couldn't see where else it could go. Anthem is going to ft lauderdale in fall, don't see it at port canaveral either. Quantum is not much bigger than the freedom class so it could swap with any of them. Agent also mentioned the third Oasis in 2016 in conversation. That would be nice if one of the oasis class would come to New York.

  9. Just off Indy of seas and paid a visit to the adventures future booking desk with the same question as many others as to when the Quantum will update for summer 2015. Agent called the deployment dept at RCCL and was told it would be end of April. Was not told reason for delay but agent said their are heavy rumors about it changing ports and leaving cape liberty. She said the big mystery is where the Liberty will go. I wonder if the two are connected.
