  1. I agree with you - I would like you to go on a cruise too! More to read please

I've enjoyed this cruise as I've enjoyed reading your others - informative humorous and humane and you're much more courageous than me: I usually just sit in the tour operator's coach and get out when and where I'm told - and get back in when I'm told to get back in!

And you're right about the Mediterranean. You must be proud of your country and it's humanity - it's the conscience of Europe. What a contrast to the UK which has become the world capital of bigotry. Twice in the past two weeks the government has announced a policy 'because it is the right thing to do' - and said the VERY opposite the VERY next day. And a former Prime Minister advising the opposition party a couple of weeks ago told it to get into power 'in any way' and only when in power would it have to decide on it's principles. It's a shabby place.

My rant will continue but only to myself. Don't forget, if you come to or near to Liverpool and your books don't have the answer, tell me and I'll help sort it. Good Luck to all three of you and thanks for all the enjoyment

  2. Hi!

I hope yr. dog's OK. I didn't realise we're so close to the end of yr. cruise. I'll miss it. I wrote to Joan Baez proposing marriage over 50yrs ago but I think she didn't get the letter as she didn't accept and we've never met. Think how our lives would have changed! I would have been her roady at yr. concert - the one sweeping up after it was all over. But I wouldn't have minded. Think of all the money I would've saved on CD's over the past 50yrs!

I'm looking forward to yr. next cruise. Any plans yet? If you come to Liverpool, I wd. love to show you around. I could show you the safe tourist places, say where the Beatles sang and lived. Or an itinerary you would really like. I could plan it so you nearly ( or really ) missed a train, or the bridge nearly (or did) collapse, or a restaurant where you nearly (or did) get food poisoning. I could arrange for a really big frightening lizard. I think you like more excitement in yr. holidays than I do - more than I could manage!

So thanks again for all yr. hard work in informing & entertaining us. I think you've both got a really admirable view on life and it's perplexities and I really hope & trust the three of you continue to have happy and fulfilling lives. You are inspirational in many ways probably without realising it. And if Joan does reply, you can be a bridesmaid!

    best wishes

  3. Hi!

I followed your review with very great interest & enjoyment on the MSC site. I've just returned from 3 weeks from a place with no internet - it wasn't prison - so I've just had a very good few hours catching up and finding out just why your Dublin day was so unusual.

Now I'm looking forward to your next cruise but how will I find out when your review starts? Will you announce on the MSC site? - I'm visiting this one only by chance - which I'll be checking from time to time. Your public needs to know!! Until it starts, I'll continue with your previous ones.

I think it's fantastic how much pleasure you've taken from sights and opportunities which on the face of it, are sometimes quite mundane and uninteresting. And your planning was fantastic. Even when you got it wrong and missed the boat, no flying or swimming was involved to get back on track - just a train and a credit card!

ps. Cruise boats have started to call here. Why not take one and do a review to tell me about the place - the must be loads of things I've not noticed
