200+ people got off the ship. royal supplied a free shuttle
to Orlando. they arranged transportation if you had air2sea.

Wind jammer was great. Best food I have had in awhile. Did not eat in chops or Giovanni's.

Getting ready to get off the serenade and just learned free transport of luggage is no longer free for pinnacle. Only available free for suite guests.

Sailed b2b on oasis starting 9/3. First cruise it was free. Second cruise 9/10 you now have to pay for the bistro.

We have had good luck with ships with a centrum. Grandeur usually has many ballroom dancers on it especially September through April. Sometimes up to 20 couples.

On the grandeur, windjammer closes at 830. Park cafe will be open.

Just got off today and they did not have it

I got bit on the cheek in Puerto Rico and I had not gotten off the ship(poolside).
I had a red mark on my face for several weeks.

Rosario strings is a duo of violin and cello. Great to listen to. Soulful band plays modern music and usually 1/2 is jazz. Small dance floor in centrum where you can swing, and a few cha cha and rumba. Limited times. We usually skip main dining room to make sure we are there when they play.

Completely agree. We noticed this on Grandeur and Legend. The lack of continuous music is very disappointing. Often we skipped dinner so we could here the little music available. On a positive note we had good music on radiance but often the two bands played at exact same times and the big set was 10:15 to midnight. If there was nothing to do until 10:00 we would go to bed and skip the last set.

Heard that double points for junior suite will be eliminated from conceiege. Hope that is just a rumor.

The two bands are good but not like it used to be. Limited hours each night but lots of music you can ballroom to, no tangos. We were spoiled when they had three bands. Now they tend to use centrum for more game shows the dance music.

The grandeur used to have three bands. Caribbean, evergreen and Casablanca. Miami has decided to remove one band leaving only two. Those two bands work hard. In the centrum they now play a lot more jazz instead of dance music to save the singers voice. Also a lot less music and longer breaks. Casablanca also left rcl and moved to another cruise line. That was there choice.

We were interested in knowing what the night life is like? Live bands or dancing at night?
Thanks

I believe RCL is cutting costs and removing a band. Casablanca was very upset they did not have any day off. Usually first set did not include singer and was instrumental. They would play 45 minutes before first dinner and then DJ and then again before second seating. very disappointed because we are used to the great bands and always lots of dancers on Grandeur.

Hi mike.
evergreen is not on vacation but was let go. We were on grandeur April 28 and very disappointed withe only two bands Casablanca and the caribbean band. Sets were only 30 minutes with 15 minute break, lots of dj's time in centrum. I believe Casablanca was leaving royal to go to another cruise line last week but we were told a new one would be coming. Hope so. We are sailing with you in June. Look forward to meeting you.

We loved the Grandeur, especially the opportunity to dance in the centrum. We just got off the Grandeur and they only had 2 bands, one carribbean(very good) and Casablanca(also good) which is leaving after the next cruise. The grandeur used to have music from 4:45 to 11 (two of the three bands would play during the evening and one would play outside when nice. They have replaced one band (Evergreen band) with either a DJ or no music. Casablanca played every night but to rest the singer she did not sing the first set (just mellow instrumental). Also the bands used to play 45 minute sets. Now a lot of time they play 30 minutes and then rest for 15 minutes before doing the next 30 minutes. An example of a night of dancing is now 4:45 to 5:30, 7:15 to 8:00 and then 10:45 to 11:30. I hope that all ships do not follow this trend.

Could you please list the names of the bands? Should be three of them? Thanks
