  1. I'll be hitting Cannes on September 26th. What is the possibility of making it a beach day (temp wise)? Based on weather sites, it kind of seems like I'd be pushing it, but want to hear first hand from others what they have experienced.

If the beach isn't a reasonable option, what other leisurely activities would you recommend? Previous European trips have been go go go nonstop. I'd really like this trip to be a relaxing one. Any good wineries I could hang out at nearby?

If your interest in Grasse is to visit a perfume factory, you can also visit one in Eze.  You can easily visit Nice, Eze and Monaco (in that order) in one day.

I've been to the parfume factory in Eze and it was fabulous. Eze was so unique also. It's been my favorite parfume for years (Fragonard Belle Cherie). Get another bottle every time I visit France.

  3. I'm sure this has already been discussed.... having 334 pages of material on this thread, but I was watching a vid tonight and it said that the casino has blocked off smoking sections now! Anyone that has been on it want to provide feedback? I remember the smoke was quite heavy in the evenings around the main corridor on the Getaway. Would be great to hear they found a solution.

  4. I don't know why I didn't get notified of this post! I'm subscribed to this thread - I'm so happy I checked it again! I'm so excited for this game! Thank you for checking on it for me :)

The next question is, do you know where I could buy tickets??

    Schedule have been released now:

There is one game in Stockholm during your stay:

    http://svenskfotboll.se/allsvenskan/match/?scr=result&fmid=2939005

Easiest way of getting there is to take the subway Green line #19 (towards Hagsätra) to Globen subway-station.

    Find departure times at: http://sl.se/en/

There are allot of useful information even if allot of it also is repeats of older question, or information that no longer is valid.

  5. There will be a chat tonight in Twitter for those who want to have or give advice about Stockholm.

Hi Desdichado62, hope you're still available for some advice! You have been extremely helpful. Our trip will be unforgettable with your suggestions!

I was wondering about the fotboll (soccer) games in Stockholm. It doesn't seem like the schedules are up for 2015 yet, do you know around the time they typically get posted? It looks like the season starts in April. I went onto the team websites and you can only purchase season tickets right now. Do you know if we will be able to buy single tickets? We will be there between April 16-22. I hope one of the 3 teams will be in Stockholm during that time.

Have you ever been to one of the soccer games?

    Thanks for your help!!

  6. Yes, it may be difficult to get a taxi at Mullet Bay Beach.

You can ask the driver that takes you there to return for a pick up, but unless you can negotiate a 'pay when you take us pack to the Cruise Facility' option, you can not count on it 100%.

The walk back out to the hotels and the entrance to Maho from the parking area at Mullet is on the order of 15 minutes or a bit less.

    Thanks for the info :)

  7. For those of you that visited... was it hard to get a taxi back to the boat? I've read that there aren't many taxis that go to Mullet Bay. That's what I'm most concerned about. I don't really want to have to walk to Maho Beach to grab a taxi.

  8. Oh, we'll have plenty of rain, moving to Portland. Yes, the drought in CA is bad. Most of our friends are N CA.

I love Portland! One of my most favorite cities. I grew up in Oregon and went to Oregon State Univ. I've been looking for jobs in the Beaverton area to transfer to. So jealous! Have a great time there!

  9. No, hubby's family is from MI and PN, but we have A Lot of friends out west, moving there next spring!

That's exciting! I think you'll like the weather. Most people do. Not enough rain for me though (we are in a really serious drought). And it's crowded. But there is always something to do!

  10. We arrived at the dock by 9:30 and got group one. We got the 2nd of 5 cabanas. They sold out really fast. If you're heart is set on a cabana I would get there early! No food only skewers of fruit, no private attendant for cabanas. The staff is really great up there though. Say hello to Lovell:). Have a great cruise, we just got off a week ago. If you head to the Raw Bar, our favorite, please tell Rondell, the chef, that Tanya and Michael Sharkey say hello:).

Thank you so much for the information! I'll definitely pass along the greetings. You don't have relatives on the West Coast by chance do you? My mom knew a Sharkey growing up in CA.

  11. We will be embarking on the Getaway on Nov 15. I've been wanting to get a cabana from the minute I read about them 5 months ago. We are silver members, do you think we will get a shot at a cabana? I think the earliest we can board is noon. Should we get there sooner? Also, can you tell me if they offer food and beverage service? I know you get a credit, bit do you have an attendant or do we have to head to the bar every time we want a drink or order food?

    Thanks!
