I have a relative that attended the NY event and asked many questions regarding the Havana Cabanas, as she is booked in one of the suites.

She was told that access to the outside of the deck near the patios is regulated by key entry to only Havana guests.

The pool is for Havana guests only until 5PM, and then opens to all. However, they will have to enter the pool area through the Havana Bar, and will have no access to the patio areas of the Havana Cabanas.

So, yes, you may have people passing by your patio area, but it will only be other Havana guests.

School is DONE, so maybe I will have a chance to post more often : )

The couple cruising with us booked the 8C guarantee cabin. Shiela asked me when her cabin number would be available and I told her that it wouldn't be until much closer to the sail date. Well, she entered her booking number into Carnivals site, and BOOM! There was her cabin number! She did get a nice location.

With the high hotel costs near the port, we were thinking of staying just outside Miami, since we are driving down from the Orlando area. Shiela and DH are flying in from Chicago, and planned to fly into Orlando the night before, and ride down with us. However..... It looks like most of the flights go to Miami first THEN to Orlando. That would be foolish lol.

Looks like sunshine today! A beautiful day to have off school : ) it's going to be strange for awhile. For the last fourteen months I have worked full time and went to school full time. ( I told hubby that a cruise this fall would be a good graduation gift....)

We are still contemplating excursions. At this point, beach days sound the best to me.

Just alil rain right now.

We are under a "Tropical Storm Warning".

Schools are cancelled for tomorrow.

I work a double tonight 3p-7a.

However....if the oncoming nurses in the AM are unable to make it in,

I am mandated to stay. (A triple?!)

Hurricane kit ready here (except for the chocolate pudding the grand baby ate, lol).

Not looking forward to any tornado warnings.

It means we have to evacuate all residents into the hallways.

(I work in Long Term Care aka nursing home).

Okay, back to sleep now! Woke up to check school status ;)

Dropping in to say a quick hello. Sorry it's been so long since I have posted.

Just haven't had much time to keep up over here.

Class is Mon thru Fri , and I am working 40 hrs over the weekends.

I NEED A CRUISE! But have no time to take one :(

On top of that, my father (in Il.) is back in the hospital.

They are now considering a heart /kidney transplant (he's 65).

We had bought them a home around the corner from us here in Fl.

But if he's accepted onto the transplant list, relocating will be on hold till a year after transplant. Hes excited about feeling better, but anxious to get to Fl.

Kids start back to school in the morning. 7th, 10th and 12th grade. It will be my daughter's last First Day of School. She made the Varsity volleyball team, also.

Break over at work :( Only 4 hours to go!

Just checking in while I wait for the next shift to arrive so I can go home.

On our CC Liberty cruise last year, our group leaders were able to get a group rate at the La Quinta hotel in Miami. There was free shuttle service to the Port, and we were even allowed to leave our vehicle parked there free during the cruise. It was approx $140. I am thinking it was only a 15 min ride to the Port, and there was a liqueur store within walking distance for those bringing on "soda"....(cough cough).

45 more min till I head home. Back at 3pm for a double till 715am. But I am off on Monday ! Nervous about Tuesday tho. I go back to school *gulp*.

Hi, Kathy, I did the spa package on the Dream and that pool they had for therapy was wonderful. We have done several inside cabins and love them. For as much time as you spend in there the price is great.

 

We are doing our first Port Hole on the Imagination in September. I am sure we will enjoy that.

Kevin is doing great, working hard. I have been off three days, then back for 4 shifts in three nights starting tomorrow. Unless they schedule me for Memorial Day too.....

We USED to :) I left in 1987, DH in1993.....Most of our family is still there. We drove up for Easter to visit, my father isn't doing well.

Good news from Eric, I think. They don't think his ankle is broken, just badly sprained. They gave him a boot. Just by coincidence, his closest friend at U of I is the son of an orthopedic surgeon. He happens to be going home this weekend so Eric is sending his x-rays home with him so his dad can take a look at them. A 2nd opinion can't hurt, especially since the doctor who looked at his xrays today is just a general practitioner and very young, Eric said. he also said he'd just delay his trip a while and even though he has to be out of his apartment by June 8th he'll just stay with his friend (the doctor's son) till he can go back to work and save up some more money.

Thats good news, Heidi. Hopefully the second opinion is the same.

Hi, everyone! I am Cathy (61) and my hubby is Kenny (70) we are very interested in this cruise. I tried to call Erin but I forgot they are on the East Coast and close early. I was wondering if they have any of slots left for the $25 deal. I noticed you all were talking about balconies but I would take an inside. We were on the Dream or Liberty with Lisa and Dave so it will be nice to hook up with them again. Will get back once I book for sure.:)
