  1. OK

Does this new deposit program have any effect if your price of the cruise comes down and you contact them for a price reduction, (before final payment) will you still be eligible to get the cost savings without a penalty??

    Thanks

this happened to us on July 1. We booked June 25, central park balcony on Harmony for June 2018 (wanted cheapest balcony option). on July 1, prices dropped and we upgraded to a D1 oceanview large balcony and saved $65. BUT, that is with the non refundable deposit. I was told we can change the cabin as many times as we want as long as it is the SAME SHIP AND SAME SAIL DATE. if we change the ship or date, then we would have to pay the $100 pp change fee.

  2. With the implementation of the Royal Suite Classes now, it's nearly impossible to get an over the water cabana on Barefoot beach. We were at Labadee a few weeks ago, in a suite and were not able to get an over the water cabana. We rented S9 which was the closest to the water available. Ironically, there were over the water cabanas empty, reserved for the Star class, that didn't get used.

that's interesting... we sailed earlier this month and were Star class and had an over the water bungalow 6, and the people that rented bungalow 5 were not Star class

  3. we just got off the Getaway today and we had a man overboard on Day 2. The woman was successfully rescued. I've tried searching to get info about it online, but I'm not seeing anything. Anyone else from our sailing with details? We had heard the woman was heavily intoxicated and fell off deck 7.... that's all I "heard" on the ship. details anyone????

  4. we are getting ready to sail on Getaway this Saturday with our DD7. This will be her first NCL but we've sailed RCCL many times and she always stays late (for the fee portion). We have it down to a science:

fun in the sun during the day, head to cabin by 4pm for a shower and nap. She will nap for 1.5-2 hours. Gets up, goes to dinner and then runs as fast as she can to kids club =) she seriously LOVES it. We've gone to pick her up late night, and she's actually cried because she didn't want to leave, so we let her stay and went back to the casino, LOL!.

seriously though, she's very excited for it, but she knows that in order for her to be able to stay up late for kids club, she must nap, and doesn't argue about that one bit.

  5. great review! quick question.... are there any umbrella's for sun shade on the pool deck? I love to lay out but can't get sun (you know, that whole skin cancer survivor thing) and I'm not familiar with NCL so don't know if they have any umbrella's in the main pool area?

if they don't, are there any shaded areas that are still near the pool so you can feel like you are part of the action??

    thanks!

  6. we did this for our 5 year old daughter on our Dec Legend cruise.... it was a holiday cruise with lots of kids onboard however, only 2 girls did the Barbie experience. That was kind of a bummer because I think my daughter would have had more fun if there were more girls involved. We did get a promo on it and only paid $245... I don't think it was worth any more than that. Definitely a 1 time thing. I'm glad we booked it and she LOVED it, but it was just ok. (again, would probably have been MUCH better if there were more girls involved).
