    • We are booked on the June 2 sailing - I spoke with our Celebrity Agent and he indicated it looked fine from his end, and perhaps it is just sold out.  However, it does seem strange that all the early June 2020 sailings for Infinity have disappeared from the website - none there except the June 28 sailing.  I'm not sure that many sailings sell out that far in advance.  I am a bit puzzled.

Hi......I wonder if you can help please.....we are booked on this cruise but are in UK and it seems that we are not being offered the same as our USA friends..........I see from your post you say they have adjusted the price a bit......they are refusing to do this for us and have just offered us the $400 OBC......we have splurged on this cruise and booked a sky suite........the OBC does not even cover the nightly cost that we have paid.....................I am just trying to gather information so I can ask Celebrity why we are being treated differently so am grateful for any help and info...thanks

  2. Clearly the lady in question should have asked for a table for two, but rest assured that it can't be snobbery. Anyone who goes to dinner in a polo shirt has no class :D

What not even one of those expensive Ralph Lauren ones??? :D:D:D:D

  3. I am assuming that you have all been to Rome once or twice (or more). If not, there is just so much to see in Rome. Most of the other options involve leaving Citiv. Have you thought of Tarquinia?

Have done Rome many times and as in Livorna the next day we would rather go to Florence and make that our big day port......so just looking for an alternative to staying on ship :)

  4. Hi

Can anyone tell me the current prices for use of the Sanctuary. Also, can you still book for the entire cruise and is it still a different price if you book for entire cruise. Thanks

  5. Hi there, it is totally not necessary to give British tour guides tips. Its not the culture in the UK. mummsie

I live in the UK and always tip......rather than not the culture its more some people choose not to do so. It is very easy to get dollars changed up here and I am sure the guides will be thankful that you have tipped :)

  6. :eek:even more confused now lol......definitely thinking of a Manhattan hotel......I have a few websites where i can get deals so not too worried about that........transport is my main concern, or rather question......subway is not an option as too much luggage so we need to know best way to get from JFK to Manhattan, car service or cab? Then again best way to get to the cruise terminal from Manhattan hotel......Thanks again for all your input :)

  7. A taxi from JFK to Manhattan is a set fare of $52.50; with tip and tolls, plan on ~$70.

The sights that most tourists want to see are spread out in Manhattan. As long as you're near a subway stop (on google maps, they're marked by little blue Ms), it will be easy to get around.

Taxes add 15% to the price of a hotel; if that $200/night is all-in, you're talking about $175 for a hotel, which would be hard to do in October.

If there are only 2 of you, you could consider bidding on Priceline; if you havem't done that before, read betterbidding or biddingfortravel to learn how.

Thank you.......actually budget is £200 (my error), which is $300 dollars.......priceline sounds interesting I might give that a go :)

  8. Hi

Id like a little info please.....I fly into JFK and I am spending 2 nights in NYC before boarding QM2 for a voyage home......my questions

Cost of a cab from JFK into New York City?

Hotel recommendations (centrally located, as we want to do the tourist stuff)

Cost of cab from New York City hotel to the cruise terminal?

Recommendations of car service we should use if better than off the street cab

    and thank you :)

  9. Hi Audrey,

many thanks for your posting as I am considering using the service (which is described on Costa website 'information about the port') but was not sure if the boarding number would then be given at the station or at the port. Thanks for clarifying that.

Is it easy to locate the service at the Santa Lucia station?

    Thanks

    S

Its located by platforms 11/12 I think..........but you cant miss it, there are big signs and they are used by all the ships that are departing from venice that day. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but the service was great.

  10. Hi Guys

THere is an excellent service at Venice Saint Luca station if you are arriving in Venice by train. They will deliver you bags to the ship for you. We also stayed in a hotel outside of Venice, when we arrived at the train station we handed in our bags then went off to enjoy the day. It costs 5 euros per bag but in my humble opinion was well worth it, better than dragging suitcases over the Venice bridges.

The bags are delivered directly to your cabin, when you get to board the ship, go directly to customer services to retrieve your boarding number if you are luggage free.

    Hope this is helpful

    Audrey x
