  1. I submitted both my hubby's and mine for a gold match. However, Mine came quickly. I have submitted hubby's 4 times and finally after three calls later and two emails I got his. However, according to our booking, he is still welcome status even though I have an email from the voyager department saying differently. Still working on getting it corrected. Hope it is corrected when we sail in November.....;

  2. I did the dedicated line for voyager members after sending them an email.. Also called a dinner time...only waited on hold for about 3 minutes.

  3. They have pizza at the buffet that is free and changes daily. They even have a breakfast version in the morning. It's actually pretty good, although we enjoyed the for fee pizza better. We ordered a yard of pizza for our group late in the cruise, and were sad we hadn't stopped by to do it sooner. We would have done it every day!

    You will also find a range of foods at the buffet, that varies by time of day. Breakfast has typical pastries, cereals, pancakes, eggs, omelets, hash browns, breakfast meats, fruits, etc. There was also miso soup with add-ins, which I enjoyed frequently.

    At lunch and dinner, there is a salad bar, prepared salads, prepared sandwiches, cold cuts and bread, etc. to make your own sandwiches, pizza, pasta, carving station, seafood/fish, burgers, fries, often a prepared to order pasta station. There was also an "ethnic" section and a vegetarian section. Not to mention cheeses, fruits, and desserts.

    My tip if you like a busy salad is start with the salad bar, but then keep looking around. I found many options to add to my salad that made it quite interesting by visiting the other stations!

    thanks for the info. I was hoping for this.

  4. I have been looking at different blogs and am noticing that the pasta bar, pizza and others you have to pay for. Is there any of these items on the buffet? Just wondering. First time cruiser on MSC. The food looks appealing. Please feel free to comment on what is available on the buffet. Asian, Mexican, etc. thanks

  5. I tried contacting MSC customer service in the US from their website yesterday but it does not send my inquiry. Once you hit send it just spins and spins. Tried the computer at the library thinking it was possibly my problem but the same thing happened. Apparently they don't want to hear from us!

    I've been doing that for three days now as well. It even says that my voyager club number in not of value.. I'll just keep trying. Have a few months to work on my reservation.

  6. I'm not sure if I'm on the right island for this or not. I thought when I was in Barbados before, I went to a factory (tour) to see lacing done or something like that. Does anyone know anything about this? Or if the island is different where it is? Thanks.

  7. Did Captain Alan's this past November. We did the tour where lunch was included. The water was very rough and rained off and on part of the day. We dove with the turtles, then off to a snorkel near a reef ( lots of colorful fish and coral) and then to Pinnel island for about 1 hour. Our guide was very insightful and had our best interest in mind. With the turtles, it is more in a cove are with other tour boats.
