Has anyone used the command hooks on the breakaway? I understand that the walls are not metal so the magnets will not work.

Yes, I've used command hooks on the Breakaway and several other ships and they work GREAT

Since the latitudes change in February, does anyone know how many dinners are allotted to a platinum (or higher) status staying in a studio. As a platinum plus member, I booked a studio on the Getaway. The information indicates dinner for 2 at bistro/cagneys (per stateroom) AND dinner for 2 at Moderno or La Cucina (per stateroom). Am I entitled to 4 dinners? The ifne print does not address the studios or single person in a cabin.

The old program offered dinner for 2 at La Bistro or La Cucina (per person). I enjoyed 2 different dinners under the old plan.

I bring a flip up book light ($1) at dollar tree for a bathrown light. Lasts a week then I throw it out.

Light weight big travel towel when we'Re going to the beach. It's lighter than the cruise beach towels.

Rather than zip lock bags, I bring aloksak bags. They are waterproof and come in various size.

When traveling for more than a week, Soak, a hand wash detergent that doesn't require rinsing. I hate rinsing the clothes.

Depending upon which countries you will be traveling to you may want to take a look at Three.com, a UK mobile service. I bought a sim card on ebay and loaded money through the internet before I left. They have a great data roaming called "Feel at Home". You'll need an unlocked gsm phone (T-mobile, At&T). The money I put on my phone in Oct 2015 will roll over to my next European trip in Sept 2016. I just had to make a call or send a text shortly before the number would have expired (6 months after last use). You also have options to make calls or send texts.

I have 5 weeks booked within the next 9 months and am waiting to see how this falls out. Like most of you, I'm very unhappy with the change. I surely hope that I'm NOT charged the 18% gratuity for my platinum benefit dinners.

I've shared my feelings with my platinum consultant and urge others to do the same.

I'm organizing a tour to include the historical sites in Cartagena in October. I'm traveling by myself and therefore, prefer the companionship afforded by a tour. We're docked from 7 am to 7 pm. Due to the long port time, I'm considering either adding Murcia or a panoramic tour to include the Agrupa Vinca Mine. Has anyone been to the Agrupa Vinca Mine? Other thoughts?

A few years ago, my friend and I took the bus from Santiago to valpariso prior to boarding our cruise. The trip was very pleasant and inexpensive. We received baggage claim tickets for our luggage. We plan to use the service again for our Jan 2016 cruise.
