  1. The only problem with zip ties is that once they've been cut (if TSA wants in to check something) then you're left with unlocked luggage

We use zip ties as well. We always leave a few loose zip ties inside the luggage, and if they have ever been cut off, they zip them back when they are done.

  2. To the "lady" who took my Yeti cup from the Casino restroom on the April 9 Carnival Freedom. Obviously you don't know about the curse inflicted on those who dare to steal a treasured Yeti.

You will gain 40 pounds. (One for each $ I paid for the cup.)

Your butt will double in size.

Your feet will swell and you'll get a cold sore every time you drink from it.

Your teeth will turn yellow and crack.

Your hair will turn gray and fall out.

You'll sprout a black mustache and chin hairs.

The next time you find an item on a cruise, do the honorable thing and turn it in to lost and found and I might consider lifting the curse.

I blame myself for being so stupid when I left it unattended for 5 minutes. I used to have trust in my fellow cruisers, never again.

I'm having the new one engraved with "STOLEN FROM (my name)" and it will never get to enjoy cruising!

This is the reason the good cups stay at home and the cheap $2 cups get to cruise. Then they stay behind in the room so I only have to pack them once.

  3. I've been reading about the Verizon cards. Have a lot of points but never a reason to get anything. 4-500 cards is a big chunk of change but in the big picture a good savings. My question- when you get your cards how do you go about paying? Online or call in? You can use them to 1. pay your Balance due 2. Pay grats 3. Purchase items???? Please help. Thank you.

After I received my cards I went to my online booking and made a payment with them. There is a spot for that. I also had pre-paid grats added to my sailing earlier so those were paid for with gift cards as well. I have been slowly adding gift cards when I have extra cash to use for my SS account. You can call before you cruise and have them added, or at Guest Services once you are on board.

  4. Hey y'all!

I was wondering if those of you who purchased your Carnival GCs through Verizon could let me know approximately how long you waited from purchasing to receiving in the mail.

    Thanks,

    Kate

The first time I ordered the $500 ones, Verizon contacted me to make sure I had ordered them and to confirm mailing address. They then sent email with tracking after that verification.
