I was wondering the same thing. Thank you for the great information!

We used the Princess at Sea app on our tablets. If you want to go non-digital there are kiosks on deck 6 that you can get printouts.
Crown, Ruby and Star have both PAS and the kiosks.

San Diego, from our balcony on the Star Princess, enroute to Mexico and the Sea of Cortez. I was testing out certain filters on my new camera and like this "sparkle effect"

Like you, we are embarking on the STAR on March 28 and so delighted there have been so many nice comments about the ship. It will be our first ELITE cruise so looking forward to the perks esp. the free laundry. Are you on the roll call? Please join some of us at the Outrigger Bar after the muster drill on the 28th. :) Good friends are on the STAR right now on their way to Hawaii-their first Princess cruise as they usually cruise with HAL. Their first days comments have also been favorable.
Yes, we are on the roll call thread for the 28th. We will keep the Outrigger in mind, not being sure what DH has in mind.
Congrats on Elite! That's us next cruise.
I believe I recognize your board name. We're you on the Ruby on the same itinerary early last March? I made it to that MAG. Nice to put faces to the names.
Getting excited for this much needed time off!

Thank you for sharing this. DH and I sail on the Star on March 28 and are really looking forward to 10 glorious days.
It's good to hear about other lines, though we have only sailed Princess; Diamond in 2004, Sapphire in 2009, Crown in 2015, Ruby 2016 and now the Star. Guess it looks like we are on course to sail them all! :D

Have you heard of the "cat lady" who sells her paintings under the bridge on the island in the Rio Cuale?
She paints a cat somewhere in nearly all her scenic paintings.
This is likely the lady who painted the bookmark for me. Love her work and hope to see her and many more artists like this!

Hank - I did plan on picking up another piece of Huichol art this time, as I did when last in PV in 2004. We watched a young artist making something at a table set up in one of the stores. Beautiful bead work!
I purchased a deer as well as a small basket.
Another fun find was a bookmark a woman made on the spot. She was set up under a bridge near the old part of town.
More experiences like these are exactly what I would like my husband to experience too.
Thanks all,
Janelle

Art galleries are in and around old town. This website gives you some ideas.

Depending what you want to spend or what you are looking for of course.
Apart from that have a look at those stores:

Even on fleamarkets you might find some nice mementos.
Thank you for the links. Too bad we won't be in PV on a Weds. but the map with the stores sure does help.

We are going to be in PV in mid-March and like to shop but we also like little handmade treasures that really reflect the culture. We don't want to spend too much on any one item, but instead would like to find many little treasures to have as mementos and to give as gifts.
What, and where, are some of the best little shops or galleries you have found in PV, downtown (?) and in the old part of town?
Thank you!
Janelle

My parents are also on this cruise, having an excellent time. The only “issue” was the rain in Hilo, they said. 😃
