I would not think so.
You can get $200 OBC instead of drink package. Just call them.

I've heard it customary to tip $1-$2 per service.

I guess I'll have to wait and see. Princess let us roll our huge full size cases on, no scanning.

That's why I'm wondering. In Vancouver we did not have to X-ray any luggage at all. So is it that Princess was lacking in security or the port?

This is my first Carnival cruise and I'm wondering if we can walk on with our luggage like you can with Princess when sailing out of Vancouver? Is it up to the cruise line or port to determine this? I seem to have not so good luck with checking baggage so would prefer to carry luggage on with me. But if I have to check with Carnival then I will pack my carry on appropriately.
So, who's sailed out of Vancouver BC and can help a worry wort answer this question?

Burrard, Robson, Georgia st would be my choices if I was getting a room in Vancouver. There's decent hotels by BC Place for decent prices and not too far from skytrain. Around Robson and cambie. Or like another poster said, Broadway city hall area is nice and safe (I live right near it) and very accessible to downtown. Whatever your choice, have fun and enjoy Vancouver!

discontinued items on cruise lines:
Thin passengers - 1995
well dressed passengers - 1998
well behaved passengers - -1999

How much weight do you usually gain on your cruise?

8 day cruise to Alaska gained 10. 10 day California coastal and we gained 0. The difference was the ports. We walked WAY more in the warmer/larger ports than small towns in Alaska. Ate what we wanted and drank what we wanted both times. That's what it's all about [emoji6]
