Cruising on The Carnival Glory with a large group Jan. 10th 2021. What is a good hotel close to port or downtown to stay the night before the cruise?
-
No. I always bring my own Diet MT. DEW.
-
Would love to see the 8 day conquest. I am on that cruise in Jan.
-
Where on your cruise manager will the embarkation appointment show up when available?
-
Booked on Conquest Jan. 20th 2018. When doing my on line check in it does not give me a option for slecting a embarkation appointment. Is it to early or when do they usually come available for this port?

We are Carnival Cruisers as well that will be sailing the FOS for our first Royal experience in Jan. 2017. Our last Carnival cruise was earlier in Jan. of this year on the Conquest. Dining dress code was not enforced at all had people in cut off shorts, baseball hats, and cool aide man t-shirts that were allowed to be seated in the main dining room. Just looking for a bit of a upgrade in ship for our upcoming Royal cruise on FOS. Thanks for the info about the ship. I think cruise lines in general should do away with formal nights completely since no one enforces the rules.:o

Thanks everyone for the replies. Really looking forward to sail on the FOTS and first time on Royal. Can't wait for the year to wiz by now.

We are a group of 15 going on the Freedom of the Seas on Jan. 15th 2017. Just booked this cruise and wanted to see how many people can be seated together at a single table on the this ship? Any imput would be great. This is my first cruise on Royal and have sailed on Carnival 7 times with biggest table there being 8 usually. Thanks in advance.

Been there once. Great place, food and drinks very good. Service was excellent.

rhiansmom: what time where you able to get to the airport with FTTF?
Thanks in advance. We are on the Jan. 3rd sailing and have FTTF. Flight after cruise is 11:30.

Been on a ship over the last few years in Jan. They had some games on the big screen by pool and others only in sports bar.
-
We are 2 for 2 each time we purchased FTTF. Rooms ready and greeted by our room steward with a come on in your room is ready.

My cruise for Jan. 3rd Carnival is changing us from HMC to Nassua. Happened to my cruise last Jan. on the Splendor as well. My PVP says it is not in the stars for me to see HMC. Booked a resort for a day in Nassau instead. It will end up costing me around $200 for me and my wife to have a beach day. If would have kept HMC $0 for a beach day, since neither of us drink.
-
I would still show up early as they send this type of email out all the time to try and not get to many people in the terminal early.

Does anybody know if Carnival is stopping the 7 day cruise program out of Long Beach in 2017 or replacing the Miracle with another ship? Nothing listed on website right now.
-
Yes you can have your cabin steward open for you. They will do it right away. Just need a person from each cabin when you talk to your cabin steward.

My vote is the Conquest. Since it has all the 2.0 upgrades. Sailed on both and they are similar other than the 2.0 upgrades on Conquest and center pool on Splendor that can close in bad weather.

SeeBurd thank you for the info. I will post if I get a reply and if the name of the Matre'd has his/her name in it.
-
I need to contact the Maitre'd on the Conquest. Does anyone know how I go about doing that?

Was just in Grand Turk about 3 weeks ago. Picked up a couple of nice shells. Had to dig them out of the sand, but you can find in the sand in shallow water as well. You need to walk to the far end of the beach away from the cruise center. There is a fence you will need to go around and keep going until you reach the beach not in the cruise area. There you will find several conch shells of different sizes. You can take them back on ship only if no creature in them. Security checked ours as we went back on the ship. Happy hunting.

Thanks

Do they have towels available on HMC for use or do you need to bring them with you from the ship?

Single digits are awesome. Lets dance. Only one more day and I can dance too.:D
