  1. The ships photogs will take the passport size snaps you need for Cambodia, for about US$5 each, though there may be a queue...

A guy on our cruise recommended the following as an alternative do it yourself method. Which I have used :)

Go to a website called http://www.epassportphoto.com and enter your country and photo type you need. Then click on the Get Passport Photos button. Now this next step is vital. DO NOT CLICK ON EITHER THE DRUGSTORE PICKUP or MAIL HOME buttons. Go a bit lower on the page and click on the "or you could use our FREE do it yourself service."

Here is a direct link to get a free one for Norway...

    http://www.epassportphoto.com/70/Free/Norway/Passport/step1

Just follow the instructions, upload your photo, size it then generate the jpg, wait one minute and download the set of four snaps.

Take the photo to your favorite printing service, and you end up with good passport photos for a few cents each. It is recommend that you don't print them at home, as some governments will not accept them on plain paper.

  2. Hi there. Will be doing this itinerary November this year. This will be the first time so that is why you can't find much information about it. Drinks packages and optional tours have been online since about February. Dining packages much later - about June I think.

We too are doing the cruise this November, not long now and we will have the answers! We lucked out with the drink package A$28 per day for the ultimate and also bought some OBC when it was at 1:1

  3. An Ultimate drink package on our upcoming 18 night Legend OTS cruise is only AUD$28 or US$21 per day including grat. Too good to say no to.

The refresh and replenish packs are excellent value too. Someone suggested the prices were so cheap because its an Asian cruise and they tend to gamble more than drink. Whatever the reason it is a win for us though.

  4. Australia and New Zealand both have a serious problem associated with binge drinking. The culture in simple terms is to get very drunk very fast at every opportunity.

A significant proportion of the customers with be Aussie and Kiwi and having unlimited alcohol available to this audience would be a recipe for misery.

Ahh, so you think Royal Caribbean ships attract a better class of client, hence they can still offer drink packages? LOL

  5. On our last Radiance cruise I usually gave the CL barman US$2 per drink and the Concierge US$10 when he solved an issue for me. I did notice by night 3 that as soon as I walked in and sat down a large scotch was placed in front of me without a word being spoken. :)

  6. As others have said, the TV's USB outlet may not charge when the TV is in standby. I took a multi-port USB charger on our last cruise and it worked fine.

Just google or ebay search for multi-port usb charger. Make sure you get one that has all 4 plug type adapters included in shipment. Mine was $14 including postage, though I see some are cheaper now :)

  8. Thanks for all this information. We are booked in 7092 but after reading all this we have sent an email to see if we can change to 8088. The cruise has only just been released in Australia so hopefully no one has grabbed the cabin yet.

Will let you know what happens.

    G'day Eileen,

According to that unmentionable website 8088 is not available, so I hope you snagged it! I see that the next level up D2 is still available though.

    Good luck!

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No, shower curtain is a pain though, wish it was glass

Any other comments? - Having just moved out of a JS to this D2 we found the room size was better value than the JS (so unless the JS is only around $100 more we will stick to D1 or D2)
