I have a friend on board Grandeur now and he said in the diamond lounge they stop you from taking your drink to dinner. Service is slow and CL has a lot of empty seats.

I just got an email for my Feb 8th cruise on Grandeur that there will be a large number of upper tier members so I as a diamond plus member can not go to concierge lounge. They state that the diamond lounge will be extened intp the South Pacific lounge. This is not new they extened it on every cruise. Didnt say they would put more bar staff on. Too many in concierge lounge well wont that be same problem in diamond lounge. Just tell you they are more concerned about about suites than diamond plus. Well have sailed with royal 35 times. But I will not be loyal to royal anymore

I am just writing about my experience with my RC credit card. I made a purchase in St Martin and was charged a foreign transaction fee of 3 % of my credit card bill. I checked with my other credit card from Princess and their charge is 0%. So before you leave check with your bank if there is a charge out of the country. From now on I will use my other card and I may cancel my RC card .

They were on Explorer when I sailed in March.

 

I never use 3 letter abbreviations for the reason you brought up. I use the two letter designation the ships crew use.

If you are diamond is it just wine or are there other drinks?

I was on a Princesscruise and got the virus . Hadto stay in my cabin for 2 days and could not get off the ship in port. They do something to your cruise card and if you try to get off the machine beeps. Tried to get compensated for 2 days no luck. Now I will be on Explorer on 1-31. I am hoping they will give u the opinion to cancel with refund or credit.
