  1. We will be staying in one of Disney's resorts prior to our sailing. Disney charges $35.00 per person one way. We are a party of 5 and that seems a bit expensive compared to other cruise lines. Does anyone know if Disney picks you up at hotel and takes you directly to pier. We looked into private transportation. Mears Transportation charges $235.00 for a one way from hotel to pier. Has anyone had experience with another company that is less expensive. Thanks. Alan

  2. I too am on your cruise. Called NCL a few times and they are not sure why the shows have yet to appear on the web site. I asked if the problem may be that this ship is normally a 7 nt. cruise and that this being a 12 nt. cruise may have caused an issue as they now have to deal with 5 extra nights. They felt that was logical. Their advice was to keep checking. Someone posted a reply to the same question I posted and their response was dining was 90 days out and shows were 45 days out. I am going on daily as I had a similar experience on RCL Allure and one day it just appeared. Good Luck. Alan

  3. We will be sailing on Oct. 31st. We just booked our restaurants but the shows are not yet available for booking. We were told a few months ago that we should be able to book dinner and shows at the 90 day mark. We called NCL and they are not sure why it has yet to post. Their advice is to keep trying.

Anyway, this is a 12 day cruise and their feature shows are for a 7 day cruise. Does anyone know what other types of shows will be available to supplement the 5 extra days. Called NCL and they are not sure what other shows will be on the cruise. Is this the first 12 day cruise this ship has taken. If not...would appreciate help from past guests.

    Many thanks. Alan

  4. I come from a city (Boston) that seems more compact than say Paris and London. In Boston it does not matter what hotel you are residing in when it comes to selecting a restaurant. It appears that Paris and London are much larger cities, however, we intend to be in different districts. But to simplify things let me be a bit more specific. In Paris our hotel is near the Champs Elysees. So at this location we are looking for breakfast and dinner options. We will be attending two shows: Moulin Rouge and Crazy Horse.

In London, we are staying near Buckingham Palace.

For dinner we prefer chicken, beef or shellfish. Our budget is for $100.00 (American) for dinner (one glass of wine) and breakfast $40.00. We are not looking for high end or trendy restaurants.

Thanks to everyone who has responded.

P.S. I did look at the Trip Advisor as well.

  5. L'Entrecote in Paris...There is one near Porte Maillot and one just off Boulevard St Germain close to the Seine along from Notre Dame. Best steak in Paris.... sauce to die for.

In London I recommend the set price lunch at Richard Branson's Babylon Roof Gardens restaurant. Is on the 7th floor and you get great views of London from the outside terrace .... + views of the gardens complete with flamingos! Set price is something like £23.50. Lovely service and fab views....

Or there is the restaurant at the top of the National Portrait Gallery..... it adjoins the National Gallery in Trafalgar square..... it can get busy..... but again good views of London and could be coupled with visits to the 2 galleries.

If you wanted to go further afield then I recommend taking a ferry trip on the river Thames to Greenwich...one of the private ones had a great commentary about the sights and the history of London. Once in Greenwich walk along the Thames for a little way towards the barrage..... 500 yards maybe to the Trafagar pub. Wonderful river front pub complete with history and good food.... it too can get busy.

Enjoy..... so much to do there

Oh nearly forgot. The Cheshire Cheese pub.... set off the main road.... has connections to Dr Johnson, close to Fleet st.

    Enjoy :)

    Thanks for the great suggestions

  6. We are leaving in early May. My wife only needs the wheelchair for long distance walking. She can walk short distances and up small flights of stairs. We will be more frugal in packing. I just wanted to know if there are porters around airports by baggage pickup as well as airport and Eurostar curb sides. Airport luggage pick up is Paris. Return airport at curbside is Copenhagen. Eurostar at Paris curb side. Getting around the airports is not an issue. I anticipate one when we are dropped off with our luggage.

Thanks for the quick response. This is a special occasion as we are celebrating my wife's 60th birthday. The fact she needs to use a wheelchair at times will not stop us. We are both excited for this upcoming trip.

  7. I just posted this on special board under disabled as well.

Need some tips/advice for our upcoming British Aisles cruise. We are doing a pre cruise on our own. My wife only needs a wheelchair for long distance walking. We are planning on bringing our own wheelchair. We are landing in Paris. Spending three days there then taking Eurostar to London and will spend two days there. Taking the bus from cruise line at Victoria coach station. Flying back at the airport in Copenhagen. My concern is pushing my wife and dealing with two large suitcases. Is there usually help at the airports and train station as well as Victoria Coach. Also is it difficult getting around Paris and London with a wheelchair. My wife is capable of short term walking as well as climbing a few stairs.

    Thanks

  9. Booked on the May 12th British Isle cruise. Does anyone know how I can obtain the dining menus. Are dining menus different for Europe cruises vs. Caribbean cruises.

Reason I want to know is when to book a specialty restaurant.

    Thanks.

  10. I am booked on the May 12th sailing on the Infinity. The dining times on this cruise is 6:15 and 8:45. Does anyone know what time are the shows. I figured the show will follow the early sitting but what about the late seating. On one cruise it was before dinner and another after. I tried calling Celebrity and got different opinions.

    Thanks.

    Alan
