Donna & Jim, have a wonderful cruise to the British Isles with your grandson next month, we will be on the same cruise August 25th. ROWSE is doing a wonderful review of their cruise, loving all the information and pictures.

We booked our Caribbean cruise for next Feb. 25th on the Sky Princess (14 days), come join us if you can.

    Cheers - Ken & Darlene

Thank you, Ken and Darlene. Hope you have a great time on your British Isles cruise also. We are really enjoying this review and it is helping us get excited. We would love to cruise with you again and will look into the Sky cruise.

Thank you for reading along on our journey!

There is no shuttle from Princess.  I assume they think people can enjoy the port which looked very nice.  There are buses and the train in to Dublin and I think Princess has a shore excursion to take you.  That is quite expensive compared to on your own.

Thank you and guess we will look into the train. Still enjoying your wonderful review.

  3. I received an email from Princess for our upcoming Alaska cruise on 8/15/21 asking for missing information titled Missing Immigration Notice. It stated that they needed missing emergency contact info and trip interruption air city. It says if the information is not provided we can't print our boarding pass (I thought we couldn't print boarding passes anymore) or luggage tags which I have already printed. It says to go into the cruise personalizer  or complete the attached form. An attached form was not provided and this information cannot be put into the personalizer. I have struggled to do everything on the medallion app and have green checks and a QR code. It makes us wonder if Princess has it together. I think not. I hope our cruise goes better than the preparation.

I'm looking to book an Aft Penthouse on the Majestic Princess for late 2021. Do any of these have covered balconies? From what I've seen, most of them can be seen from the cabin above. I'm hoping to get one where the balcony is at least 75% covered.

Thanking you in advance for your answers!

What about vibration in those Aft Penthouse suites?  I have read reviews that there is alot of vibration. We are looking at Riviera deck on the Royal. Is the soot worse on the higher decks?

  5. Thank you for all the responses, it is really helping us make a decision. The 17 day tour we are looking at is land first and then southbound cruise. It includes 2 nights in Fairbanks, 2 in Denali, 2 in Mckinley, 2 in Kenai and 2 in Copper River and then the catamaran to the ship. We did a DIY land tour in 2015 visiting  all the places on the tour except Fairbanks and Copper River. It was a wonderful trip but thought that this time we would let someone else do all the driving but a 8 or 9 hour bus ride sounds a little too long. Thrak, was your long uncomfortable ride from Denali to Copper River or from Kenai.

The 15 day tour has land first and then southbound cruise. The land portion is 2 nights in Fairbanks, 2 in Denali, 1 in Mckinley and 3 in Kenai. We are still trying to decide. Is the scenery in Copper River any different than other parts of Alaska or was there anything outstanding about it to make the long bus ride worthwhile. Thank you

  6. We have it booked for the Mediterranean so hopefully there will be less movement than a transatlantic. Thank you for your responses. How is the size of the room and I assume that it has great views out of the large windows. Thanks

  7. We will be sailing on the Sky Princess in cabin S103 which is a premium oceanview with a large picture window. We were wondering if there is alot of motion, noise, etc. in this cabin.  We have previously sailed in interior or oceanview but mostly balcony or mini suites. Would you sail in this cabin?

  8. Aloha Kakou,

We will be on the Emerald Princess starting Dec 4 and stay on until mid-March 2019. We will not be sailing on the 28 day SP voyage...although I understand it is an amazing cruise and hopefully one day we will get a chance to work it.

    Aloha No,

Do you know which ship you will be on after mid March? We will be on the Ruby Princess sailing on March 24,2019. We were hoping that you would be on that sailing.

  9. We are looking at booking a balcony cabin across the hall from the laundry room and wondered if there is alot of noise (machines or conversation) coming across the hall. This is on the Grand and is the only cabin available in that category.

  10. I'm guessing you haven't read the rules of posting - specifically folks representing places/things/agencies rather than just themselves not being allowed to post except to reply to questions?

Unsolicited ads like this are, at best, a way to annoy many of us members. OTOH, mis-spelling your own State (CalOfornia - really?), and in a link no less so the link doesn't actually go anywhere, is a really top-notch, surefire way to impress - even better than high heAl and whatever other spelling error(s) you apparently fixed already!

I suggest another wacky ordinance that anyone writing on behalf of the city should have to pass a spelling aptitude test;-)

WOW! Were these insults REALLY necessary.:(

  11. We will be on a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Ruby Princess in October for our 49th wedding anniversary. We have never booked the Sanctuary but thought we would try it for this special occasion. What are the costs for half day and/or full day? What makes it special? Any tips that we wouldn't think of?

    Thank you

  12. Our very first cruise was on the Fairsea in 1984 for 11 days to the Mexican Riviera. We had a wonderful time with our kids in a small interior room but it hooked us on cruising.

    Some of our memories:

Wonderful Italian crew --especially the waiters

I do remember the hair dryer rooms

    Baked Alaska

Singing "Olde Lang Syne" in the showroom on the last night of the cruise as everyone swayed back and forth.

A Bon Voyage party in our stateroom for family and friends and then throwing streamers as we sailed away.

    Great memories.

  13. IMHO It was dirty, service in MDR was Pisspoor, quit eating there. You get 2 pats of butter, ask for more and your food will be cold and no salt and pepper shakers. Food in Horizon was really good and you can order eggs anyway you want. Steak wasn't worth the upsell as it was only choice. We quit Princess. There's too much of the Califorinia attitude of I'm Elite. Almost no ones cares to know who you are as long as they think they are better. We did meet some nice people onboard.

Sorry, we are from California and we don't have an attitude. We are pretty nice people so why don't you get to know us before making such a blanket statement.

We were on the Crown in January and had a good time but it was just an average cruise as far as the ship goes. Nothing really stood out as outstanding or as really bad. We had a great time meeting people and enjoying the ports but would rate the ship as one of our less memorable cruises.

  14. We had our 21st cruise on the second leg of a b2b last year and didn't receive the $25 credit. I didn't think about it until we got home. If we don't receive the card in our stateroom, who do we see onboard the ship?
