Just received my royal up e-mail confirming my upgrade from a panoramic view (no balcony) suite on Freedom of the Seas this Monday to a two bedroom suite (two full bathrooms!) My 16 year old's will be thrilled they aren't sleeping in bunkbeds.

Do you mind telling me what a Genie is, I guess I"ve never had one before.

I'll be on the Freedom of the Seas in October, 4 nights. Was wondering if there are formal nights, theme nights, ect. I've seen people occasionally mention White party, Red party, Hush party but can't find any information on RC's website.
Thanks

I received my e-mail 40 days out, with four different suites to bid on. Patiently waiting to hear if I won one.

I did call, the response I got was when my ship was changed the gratuities dropped off. I wasn't charged for them, keep in mind. My last payment reflected the $280.00 drop in price (Gratuities for 4) but I didn't figure this out until a week ago. I was told this routinely happens when ships are changed, prior to full payments made. I was just giving people a heads up that if they recently had a ship change to look over their invoice, they may be surprised. Not a big deal, but could be for someone already thinking they prepaid gratuities.

Our cruise had a ship change in July, just found out the prepaid gratuities were removed from the final payment. Not a big deal, just thought people may want to check their invoices to avoid a surprise once on the ship. And here I thought I had an almost $300.00 savings with the ship change.😂

Yes, we're planning on testing once we're in Miami for the same reasons. My research shows we can test at a CVS in Miami, making appointments on-line. Results back within one hour. The website said, with proof of insurance, the tests are usually free to people.

No, we're fine without the balcony, has always been under used in the past. Two bathrooms, on the other hand, wow.

Has anyone stayed in a panoramic view, no balcony suite on the freedom? The appeal for us was the extra room (400+ Square feet), two bathrooms, bunk room. Thoughts, opinions appeciated.

Looking for a Miami hotel for two nights stay prior to cruise. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

We're booked in 17004 in March. I saw the YouTube video when I was researching our trip, but my PCC confirms that the window-washer is normally parked outside of the cabin below, which is consistent with what I see on all the photos I can find. It is apparently sometimes raised in port to clean the windows.
If anyone has an update/confirmation of this, I would appreciate it!
no sign of window cleaners on my cruise. The view from the bathroom was WOW. Well, the view from all of the rooms was WOW! There was nothing to not love about this particular suite.

i was wondering if i made a mistake by changing it...A poster mentioned on this site that the cleaner was parked outside of the bathroom of the room he stayed in which was 16002 and is right above 17004...i liked the layout of 17004, 17007 will be the same except the layout will be opposite
I'm sure 17004 will be just fine for me. I find it hard to believe one owner suite is perfect, while another has a window cleaner lurking outside the bathroom window. Unless the prices reflect this I think the owners suites are all probably great. I will let you know when I get back. And if there is window cleaners lurking outside my bathroom windows, they get what they deserve ;)

wow, great video. I will be in this cabin in one week, will let you know how much (or lack of) of a bother the window cleaner is. The bathroom is big!

Hello neighbor
I am in 17005 and I have an enclosed balcony. I am looking forward to it since you can open the sliding doors (keep them open) and expand the room. Also you can eat out there without the wind blowing everything off the table cloth.
But I am excited because this will be my first front cabin on a ship. Where is 17004? Is it the owners or villa next to me?
it is the owner suite.

has anyone stayed in suite 17004. Just wondering about the noise level, any other information and/or pictures would be great. Also how much use you got out of the balcony. I had booked this room thinking I would have an enclosed balcony but guess it's open air. thanks

wow, thanks so much for the great pictures. I will be in 17004 in a few weeks. I noticed there is a guest bathroom :), something I wondered about.

Royal Up Confusion

I was sent a royal up e-mail for the first time for my upcoming cruise (this Monday). Based on zero experience I put the lowest offer for all three offers, last night was upgraded from a panoramic view (no balcony) suite to a two bedroom/two bath suite. Didn't have any experience or secret formula, I think just luck.
