  1. I just booked with her for the day to. I sent an email, got a very prompt reply, she answered all my questions then told me what I wanted to do wasnt doable, lol. So, I called her and change the direction I was thinking...Got a verbal quote for my group of 20, then she sent me a email to confirm...

    So far, so great!!!

Im looking forward to my tour w her.

  2. My next cruise is 137 days. I think I have the record for the most days to my Explorer cruise on March 11, 2014 - a long 672 days. :(

672! That make my 292 seem like nothing...I thought I was a planner! LOL

at least you have your 137 as a filler between that. Im sure you will have a good time making plans and playing on the boards, as I do.

Happy Cruising to all my fellow Cruisers :)

  3. I have read the many threads about transportation between MCO and Port Canaveral and had narrowed my choices for a shuttle for myself and my traveling companion between Travelynx and Cocoa Beach Shuttle. (Car rental is not an option.)

I have called both companies. Travelynx charges 25 pp and Cocoa Beach Shuttle charges 27 pp (including the 10% discount for mentioning Cruise Critic).

We arrive around 9:30 am and both companies told me that they wait until they have a group who have landed around the same time going before they leave for Port Canaveral. Cocoa Beach said the wait time would be around 30 - 40 minutes. Travelynx would not specify a wait time.

My primary concern is a reliable company who will get us to Port Canaveral in the most efficient manner.

Does anyone have an experience (good or bad) with either company that I should consider before making my decision?

    Many thanks!

Travelyynx...to put it mildly is full of it! They told me the same thing, they loaded their bus and went from hotel to hotel even to a residental area, drove PAST our hotel and circled the business district...finally after 2 and a half hrs later they dropped us off. I dont know abt you, but my time is worth something. Go with a private service, and recieve door to door service. :)

  4. Thanks for your cruise review and pics, cute family :)

Were not cruising til end of February seems like it will never be here. I am cruising with a group of 19 ppl mostly in their 20's. Started as Me and another co-worker and then our kids (20yo) were coming and they added a few friends and so on and so on.. Any how they are excited but not asking questions or making any plans...leaving it up to me... OMG! I feel funny spending other ppls money, you know you have to make shore excursion reservations, pre hotel reservations, transporation etc etc. I had a Cruise Meeting this week they all showed up with no questions or input...Whatever I do is fine with them..

So much, for the meeting taking some pressure off, guess its my vacation.

good thing I know it will be great :)

  5. Why would you book these flights and pay $331 on Southwest, when DL or AirTran is selling your dates/routing for ~$290?

Your right I like the 290.00 better but the return trip, flight is causing the rate to up..up to 331.00 I need to have time to get off of the ship, travel to Orlando, and check in, therefore, Im thinking the earlist flight I could get would be the 1130ish dont you agree? If you figure something please please let me know.. :)

  6. Trying to get a group of people out of Pit to Orlando..February 25th returning March 4th.

I truly think the rates are high...it comes out to be $331.00+rt. Dont you think thats High?

At this point, Im thinking of one of two senieros..

    1. Buy the flight out of Pittsburgh its 136.00+ because I like the early non stop flight

2, Wait and hope the return goes down...but then I have the what if factor, what I cant find a flight out..then I loose a days pay and hotel and food and etc etc..

Can you tell Im a lil stressed, Ive never had this problem before..

    Thanks Much......

  7. Last time we cruised out of Port Canaveral, we stayed at the Radisson and lovvvved it.

Were cruising again and I researching my options. I found the Radisson is $159.00 plus tax..I think thats a lil pricey.

I across the fly, snooze and cruise package for Comfort Inn..its 390.00 for 4 people, includes tranf from Mco to Cocoa Beach, drinks upon arrival, room for 4, breakfeast in the am, transportation to port, THEN when you come off of the cruise they take you back to MCO. I dont think you can bet that...do you?

  8. Ok, everyone is saying what a great tour...what was so great? You were in the lil cars on the city road in a line? Then what, did you drive on the beaches, in the sand? I think Im missing a major part of this...I think my kids would like this but I dont have all the facts.

    Thanks for the scoop.
