Thank you. We are planning on arriving 2-3 days prior to sailing and booking a hotel in Beijing. Wasn't sure how bad the crowds would be Oct 5 -7. Any recommendations on hotels, restaurants, etc for this trip would be welcome.

We have booked the Grand Asia adventure which leaves out of Beijing on Oct 7, 2014. Just saw comments regarding Golden Week regarding how difficult it is to get around to see sites, etc. due to the extremely large number of visitors.

Would appreciate comments/advise from anyone who has been there during this time. Thank you!

If anyone has used All Around Italy tours for Rome, would you recommend them? Any info you can provide will be appreciated as I need to decide very quickly if i should sign up for a tour with them. I see Romeinlimo rated very high here but I have sent 2 emails to them through their website and they have not responded for over 2 days!
