  1. I received 2 reviews on the RCI boards...

    http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=23960958#post23960958

I'm thinking the second person was in fact looking for a "deep sea fishing" experience.

I found a link to a deep sea fishing charter in St. Thomas, but it's $600 for 4 hours (6 person max). My DH is looking into, since his BIL is a big fisherman and probably wouldn't be into the drift fishing.

I don't have the link bookmarked on this computer, but can post it tomorrow, if you want it.

  2. Ok...I've searched and the only posts I've found about this tour are a few years old and very limited information. I'll probably cross-post in the Ports of Call section as well, but I know that isn't seen by as many people.

My brother-in-law is thinking about the Bubba Bottom Fishing excursion in St. Martin and was wondering if anyone had any positive or negative feedback. Or if anyone has any recommendations on chartering a private fishing boat in St. Thomas or St. Martin.

  3. Our family is preparing to take another cruise, so to make it easier for them - particularly our Mom - to sort through these great suggestions, I've consolidated them in categories. I've posted them at our website - under 'Wish I Had Known' - where you can access them as well. There is nothing for sale at our site; it's designed to share ideas for our family and friends. Thanks to all of your for sharing these wonderful ideas.

    Wow...great website! Thanks for sharing.

  4. We are cruising with our infant son for the first time this year, so I don't have much for advice there, but 3 of our past cruises have been in the September/October timeframe. We love cruising that time of year, since hurricane season seems to drive the price down and the temperatures seem to be great for cruising.

We've been fortunate enough to never have dealt with a hurricane during our cruise, but definitely had to deal with the aftermath (skipped Grand Cayman and had to change departure ports from Port Canaveral to Miami after Hurricane Ivan struck in 2004).

So, as long as you are ok with the possibility of a routing change, the October date should be great.

  5. I do mine by daytime and evenings for each day, and I colour some items to help me figure out how to repeat them on the cruise.

I have a separate list also that lists the essentials, and then I organize the clothing in this one.

Too funny...this is almost identical to the spreadsheet I've used for my last 4 cruises. My DH thinks I'm crazy, but it makes everything so much easier to plan. I also include jewlery in mine.

  6. We'll be sailing in May on FOS with our 12 month old son and I plan on having a crib set up in the room. We're in cabin 8710 (E2 Balcony), which has a small loveseat and sofa table. I know for sure we'll need to get rid of the table, but has anyone else used a crib/pack n play in this size room that can comment on how feasible the set up is?
