  1. Personally I would only do a carnival excursion from what I recall about Ocho Rios. Just not somewhere I felt safe enough to do my own thing. However almost every other island I've been to I've went with excursions on my own. Usually have had a better experience, smaller groups and more attentive people to us, especially today in Grand Cayman.... We got off the boat and went to the octagon shaped stand with people with signs that said stingray city and coral reef $45.... The lady actually offered it for $40....we waited till like 945 to get off the ship so it wasn't such a crowd getting off. The lady instructed us to be back for the bus by 1030 and then we were then taken to yacht club where we boarded a small 2 deck boat and greeted by this awesome guy named David Evans and took a boat ride out to an uncrowded Stingray City and got to spend time interacting with these beautiful creatures and had more than 25 pictures by David and given a phenomenal deal to purchase a disc with these amazing pictures. Usually with companies offering "photo ops" its usually only 1 image or only a few for at least $25 for these few imags. I'm a picture person so I think this is awesome he's an amazing professional under water photographer and I've spent hundreds on pictures that weren't this amazing. Just saying! We also booked our own Dolphin Swim online at http://www.cozumel-tours.com/dolphins.htm at CHANKANAAB PARK. At half of what carnival charges!

  2. Last minute cruise planned for myself and my daughter and our friend and her 2 daughter, courtesy of my crazy mom who told my 8 year old to pick between a cruise or Disney as a gift for us and my kid is an experienced cruiser and chose to be on a boat!! One minute my mom is making me pay her back for borrowing $20 and then shes happily paying for an awesome vacation that after the year I have had is sooooo needed. I cant wait to be on the boat!!! If theres anyone else cruising hit me up!

  3. So happy to find this thread. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2000. I went to see the North Carolina Center for Reproductive Medicine after fertility pills didn't help me conceive. I was told there I had PCOS and I wouldn't get pregnant on my own so we did some treatments without success and then we divorced so I just let it go. In 2006 after coming off the birth control patch because of the side effects, I magically got pregnant with my now 5 year old awesome daughter who has recently discovered Justin Bieber....yaaaaa me

Anyhow the weight has added on since I was 20 and after having my daughter and my gall bladder removed I am up to 205 and my low back is in pain daily. I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and will be getting the CPAP this week sometime. I am heavily considering by pass because it physically hurts to exercise enough to matter. My surgeon has a very strict pre-bypass program so I am currently on a 1300 calorie diet high in protein and low in carbs and sugars and taking all the vitamins to get used to the routine. I had hoped to have had a surgery date in June but its been slow moving for all the things I had to complete prior to submitting to my insurance so now I may put it off till after my cruise Sept 29.....I don't know yet I hate to wait any longer. Anyhow nice to see everyone on here

  4. We have a lesbians who cruise FB page so everyone lets get together on this lol! My girlfriend and DD and Bestie will be on the Glory Nov 6th with 2 others lesbian couples!! I would say join us but there aren't many rooms left as we found out trying to get my bestie a cabin this weekend!

  5. Hi there we are 2 moms with a 4 year old daughter and we cruise every year on Carnival (so far)! We are doing the Glory on Nov 6th with 2 other lesbian couples but no one else with children. Would love to meet other LGBT parents to cruise with as well! I am partially responsible for organizing monthly picnics in my town for LGBT parents! We also thought we were the only ones but we were wrong if we create a way to come together it makes things a lot easier!

  6. My wife and our 6 year old,and myself will be on the Carnival Spirit Oct,21,2011. We have cruised about twice a year. The nice thing about this one is its a 9 day cruise. We were one of the 18000 that were married in Calf before they shut it down. We are still legally married. We went on our honeymoon on the Pride 3 years ago come Oct. We always go to the FOD meetings and only have met the men..I guess not very many lesbians on Carnival.

Aww I wish you were on the Glory in November lol, our daughter is 4 and we wish we had friends with kids when we cruise!

  7. Hi All,

My partner and I are going on the RCL Allure of the Sea on May 8. We are taking our 23 year old son.

We have taken 5 Oliva Cruises, 1 NCL with Rosie and 2 HAL. We love this for vacation, but the cost of Oliva is causing us to relook at the "straight" cruises to save money. We love the Family with Oliva, but just can't manage the costs.

We live in Asheville, NC and would love to connect with others in the area.

    Hey Liz and Annette!!

Me and my girlfriend Heather live just outside of Wilmington! We love Asheville and my girlfriends sister lives there!

  8. I love Stingray City! I took my 3 year old daughter and girlfriend on their first cruise ever and was so excited to show them this amazing little place but it stormed and it was rough seas and we barely spent 15 minutes in the water! I was so sad! But in preparation for the trip I found a completely waterproof housing for my Kodak M1033 that works wonderful underwater! Also when you first get off the tender boat at port to your left is a gift shop that sells UW disposables for like $12.95 which i didn't think was to unreasonable.

  9. I have been on several cruise and am taking my girlfriend on her first cruise in October on Carnival. We thought we had local friends that would be going with us but one of them wanted to cruise separately so they could be alone! Anyhow so we are going to have a blast regardless however for future reference we would love to meet new friends :cool:who wanna travel with us in the future!!
