  1. We were recently in St. Kitts near the end of a port intensive cruise and decided to do the Lunch Hour tour with Beulah. It was about 2 hours, $10 fare, and the tour was fantastic!! So if you want a shorter tour that will leave time for shopping or relaxing on board, try this one. Google Buelah Mills St. Kitts and her information will show up. You will not be disappointed.:)

  2. Our family will be sailing aboard the Valor the week of Thanksgiving! Counting down the days until then. Booked excursions via Glory Tours, Cosol Tours, Royston and Bernard's based upon feedback from Cruise Critic and TripAdvisor.:)

I am subscribed!!! We sail Oct. 19th on the Valor for the 2nd time, but first time for Southern and PR - Really excited for the new ports and PR!!!:D

We also have cruised the week of Thanksgiving with our girls and they loved being in the warm climate on Thanksgiving. We had a great cruise that week with good weather.:)

Our excursions this time will be, Henry's EEE tours in St. Thomas, Mystic Man in St. Lucia, Welcome Tours (Beulah) Lunch Time Spec. in St. Kitts and Bernard's Tour in St. Martin.

We have time in PR before we fly back on Sunday, so what would be a must see in San Juan?

    Thanks!

  3. You read it twice? Wow, thank you! :) I'm sure you will LOVE the Southern route, I personally feel it is one of the best and most scenic and the pictures do not do it justice. This was our first time in St. Lucia and St. Kitts (both are just gorgeous) and it's also been a long time since we were in Barbados. We were on a similar itinerary out of San Juan on our honeymoon and first cruise. CC was a big help to us in planning. We also booked most of our tours on our own in advance as well. It was mainly other reviews that gave me ideas for what we wanted to do. I really enjoyed doing this review, it was a great way to relive our cruise, and much easier than the review I did of our Liberty cruise. The hassle with that one was that on one of my cameras the date was off so the pictures loaded out of order. Lesson learned! :D I really hope we get an opportunity to cruise again soon and I'd love to do this same itinerary again. DH wants to do one that goes to Aruba and Curacao and I think I could be game for that too. If we do, I'll be sure to do another review but it may be a couple years. What part of Virginia are you in? We're near Manassas. We just did a western itinerary in April on Liberty and in 2010 we did an Eastern on Glory, both out of Miami. How did you like the Eastern on Valor? I wish you a very Happy 30th Anniversary in advance and hope you have as wonderful a time on Valor as we did.

    From Holly in Virginia :)

Thanks again for taking time to do such a detailed review and responding to my comments. We live in the Fredericksburg area and really love it here. So close to DC but far enough away to be a little less crazy. We loved the Eastern Itinerary on the Valor and loved the Valor itself. That was our only cruise so far to those ports. We tend to end up in the Bahamas and western Caribbean. We just love cruising and try to cruise every year. We have actually been on the Pride 3 times - it is so convenient. But since this was such a special cruise for our Anniversary we decided to deal with the hassles of flying and do the Valor again, this time out of San Juan. I love researching everything in advance and planning our port excursions on our own. I think I am most excited about St Lucia. We are doing the Mystic Man Catamaran eco tour to the Pitons. I loved your pictures from there and just can't wait to see it all. I look forward to reading your review of your last cruise and thanks for your well wishes for our trip!! Tina

  4. I have read your review twice in anticipation of our 13th cruise on Carnival but first for the Southern route. We sailed the Valor on it's Eastern route in 2008 when our daughter graduated from high school. We have been cruising since first married and will now be celebrating our 30th Anniversary on the Valor in October. We have been to St Thomas and St Martin, but that's all, so the other Islands will be new to us. I loved all your pictures and details. We are booking most of our tours in advance on our own thanks to CC. It is a wonderful cruise tool and I am thankful to you and others for all the advice over the years.

Hope you get to cruise again soon. I look forward to reading any reviews you put out there.

Thanks Again for all the time and effort you put into this review.

    From Tina in Virginia:p

  5. I have been following your review all along and love it!!! We will be there in October and can't wait. Can you tell me about what time you got to Maho beach in the morning? Just wondering because last time we went I don't remember chairs and umbrellas at all and would like to be able to get a couple of chairs. Love the planes landing. I am looking forward to the rest of your review. Thanks!!! Tina

  6. Thanks for posting your review of the Pride!!! I really enjoyed your pictures and comments. My DH and I will be sailing our 3rd time on the Pride in September and can't wait!! I always wonder what to do in Freeport and now because of CC and your review I have a couple of ideas for the beach. Junkanoo looks very nice and I appreciate your pictures of it. Also considering Dead Man's Reef, but DH just wants to check out Senor Frogs right there at the port - I might have to convince him on the beach. Thanks again and I will look for your review of your next cruise.:)

  7. John Heald just posted on his FB page the Pride will be in drydock Oct 20-Nov 3 2013. He will update in the coming weeks what each ship will be getting in 2.0 upgrades.

Thanks again, DanJ. I appreciate the information. We want to take the Nov. 3rd sailing from Baltimore, to HMC, GT, Freeport - mainly to see the upgrades and to go to HMC - paradise!!!

  8. I recieved 3 answers on the Carnival sight, all saying they thought it would be in November 2013. We wanted to sail the first sailing in November due to it being the last cruise the Pride takes until the Spring that will stop at Half Moon Cay. Guess we might have to wait until after the 2.0 uprgrade.

    THANKS!
