  1. Thanks we went in Feb, shame you did not enjoy the Viking Feast we enjoyed that and the guide on the Coach was brilliant. This is our review http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g612448-d1798393-r195560916-Lofotr_Viking_Museum-Vestvagoy_Lofoten_Islands_Nordland_Northern_Norway.html

We decided to have a few days in Tromso at the end of our trip and had the most amazing skiddo trip with Tour in Lyngenalps http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g190475-d3746190-r195557340-Tour_in_the_Lyngen_Alps_Day_Tours-Tromso_Troms_Northern_Norway.html Just breathtaking! :D

  2. I-Cruiser - I would be interested in that PDF file. Can you please forward to my email address? salcarr1@windstream.net

Thank you in advance for your time and efforts.

    Kind regards - Linda Carr

Linda I was going to ask I-Cruiser if I could get a copy of that walking guide but I see they are away at the moment. Don't like to put my email address on here and can't pm you. If I drop you an email could you send it to me? We go next week and I'd love to take it with us Thanks Emma :)

  3. .... go to the Bergen museum and pay for the guided town of town, English at 1100 and 1200. This also gives you entry into 3 museums which can be used all during the day. So you can go to through the museums before the guided tour if it starts raining......

Which museum was that? As it sounds interesting we are there late Jan next year so rain avoiding ideas may well be welcome! How long was the tour?

  4. silk "undergloves" which are very handy when you want to take pictures. I am also looking at this type of gloves for a next trip : http://www.aquatech.net/sensory-gloves.php )

Thanks for the glove tips, I am a complete camera addict and was wondering how I was going to mange to take my mitts off in Tromso in Feb where we are going for a few days after the end of our trip.

Will have to see if I can find some in the UK now :)

  5. Another question about our Classic Winter Voyage North in Jan next year.

Looking at their trips there is a snowmobile trip which seems to go from Mehamn but we dock in Kjøllefjord has anyone done it? Do you get your own snow mobile or do you have to share?

Does the boat leave Kjøllefjord and dock again in Mehamn?

    Thanks!

  6. Wow what a load of fantastic information! Thank you Al I have learnt so much over the last 21 pages. :)

We are planning on booking a cab with Taxi Stockholm to take us from Frihamnen to the Central Station where I believe we can find lockers to store our luggage. Does anyone know how much these cost and do you need the exact money or can we use a card?

We then planned on walking into the Old Town what route would anyone suggest? I presume we can walk? We only have 5 hours max before we have to catch the Arlanda Express to the airport (is it easy to find the right train platform at the station?).

Given we are walking round the old town what would anyone recommend as 'must sees' beautiful streets/buildings/views as well as muesum suggestions would be great.

We were wondering if there was a senic short boat trip we could take?

We will be there on a Sunday if that makes any difference to any suggestions.

    Thanks!!! :D
