  1. Thanks for the info. After reading further reviews I am finding others seem to have similar view points as you and your sister. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your info. I have a feeling I may look but will probably pass on the spices.

  2. ^ That was the review that made us do this in Grenada a few days ago! We took the water taxi ($8.00 per person return - you are given a return ticket when you pay). The water taxi dock is right at the port - you will see it. The taxis hold about 25 people and they run continually until 6 pm. We did see people being dropped off at Grand Anse beach by cab, so that is also an option, but we wanted to experience the water taxi and we got some great photos of our ship from the water.

Turn right off the water taxi and walk down... keep walking... the farther down the beach you go, the less expensive the chairs. Ours were $5.00 per lounger and we got them under a large tree, so we had no need to pay for an umbrella. The front row of loungers right at the water was $20.00 per chair! Also, yes, there are vendors there but they are very polite. The ladies in the spice market desperately want to make a sale, so they are somewhat aggressive as well, but after all, that is their livelihood.

We had a nice day at Grand Anse beach.

I also really appreciate this info as well as the great link listed above. If you don't mind, can I ask if you got your loungers at the same place as listed on the link above or a different vendor? If different, were there restrooms available? Also, how were the prices at the spice market there? Really appreciate any info. Looking forward to our visit in the spring.

  3. I like your consistency Chris. You started our Roll Call before we were even able to book and now starting with a preview of your "Live" review before we are even on the ship. Love it. Have enjoyed all your previous "Live" reviews vicariously. So happy Will and I will be able to experience this one with you.

Looking forward to your pictures and how you like your new point and shoot.

    Dinner looked delish!

  4. An awesome review as always, Mark. And I also appreciate the time you take out of your vacation time to share your great pictures and information about the cruise.

If you have time for another question - When releasing info on Quantum, there was mention of a "Gatsby" party. I haven't seen anyone mention it who has been on board so far. Have you noticed it listed in the compass at all? Thanks.

  5. I hope someday you can get some pictures of the javelina and their babies.

The deer hit us late at night.

The deer have hit us bad this year too. They are eating everything, even my geraniums (which they never did before). They have even pulled some of them out of the ground by the roots.

The Javelina and babies would be a cute picture to see.

  6. Your pictures are great.

I don't have a an expensive, fancy camera with tons of lens.

I see that your bug is anxious to cruise as well since he/she is running around. Cute.

Thanks. Me neither with all the tons of lens. Really do enjoy all the pictures everyone shares on here. So beautiful and creative!!

That little bug is anxiously awaiting our next cruise. He tends to get his share of attention here on the threads. I actually borrowed him from another poster a few years ago.
