Okay...I'm intrigued. How the heck do you accidentally miss the first two days of a cruise???!!!! :eek: :eek:

Well...my beloved had traveled from Chicago the night before our cruise (I live in Tampa)..and it wasn't until we arrived in Miami 4 hours later that he realized he left his passport in his winter coat, in TAMPA. No passport = no cruise. We had to drive back to Tampa and flew to St. Thomas the next morning, where we met the ship. I was very displeased...

At least we had two lovely days in St. Thomas to enjoy! (silver lining)

I was looking at your pictures of Sapphire Beach thinking "boy that looks familiar". After a quick Google search, I realized that my (now) DH and I accidentally stayed there for two nights in 2009. How was it accidental? Well we accidentally missed the first two days of our cruise, then accidentally ended up at this resort when the other one we booked online wasn't open when we arrived to the island.

Yes...the Karaoke booths...OMG. Mickey and I are the Worst Singers Ever, but we had so much fun in those booths! (I prayed to the Singing Gods that those booths were really sound-proof, because I know we sounded awful!) We didn't discover them until Day #5 of our cruise - I wish we'd known about them from Day 1!

Sherri all I can say is that I thought I was doing so much wonderful justice to Michael Jackson's "Rock With You", until the playback. At least the backgrounds they offered were lots of fun!

I hope the booths were sound-proof too! If you happened to get funny looks from passersby, that might've been a sign that perhaps they didn't work as they should. Would cool karaoke be a selling point for Hubby Mike?

Anyone know what little hidden treasure is? On Deck 3? By the karaoke bar?

Granted, it's been 4 years since I sailed the Freedom, but aren't the Karaoke booths down there? We discovered them halfway through our cruise, and that's the moment I truly realized that I'm an awful singer.

I cruised the Freedom in 2008 - my first and only RCI cruise to date and by far my favorite cruise EVER. That ship is incredible and I'm reliving my trip through your review. Thank you! My DH and I are planning an RCI cruise for the spring and were planning to look at the Oasis or Allure, but this review is making me want to book the FoS again!

I stumbled across this review on Sunday and became instantly hooked! Sherri it's just amazing: great writing, awesome photos and a wicked sense of humor!! My husband and I are taking our first Mediterranean cruise this fall - different itinerary but some ports in common with yours. Thank you dedicating time to writing this wonderful review and getting me even MORE excited for our trip!

I took the over-the-door shoe hanger/organizer with me on this past cruise, and it was FABULOUS! I'm taking one on each trip now! My mother came by my cabin and said "what a NEAT idea!!!". I had to give credit to the CC family for that one.
