  1. In May, we boarded Summit from Cape Liberty. We had an extension cord with my husband's CPAP in our carryon when we boarded the ship . They took the extension cord and said it was prohibited. This was our 12th Celebrity cruise (third from Cape Liberty) and the first time they took the extension cord. Just a standard extension cord with no surge protector. The cabin steward gave a cord to use.

  2. Are egg crate toppers still available on Summit? Have not sailed on Summit in over five years. I am wondering because we sailed on RCL Liberty of the Seas last year and our cabin steward said the egg crate toppers were being removed from the ships. Not sure whether this applies to Celebrity, too. Actually, I am not even sure if the steward was correct because she did tell us she was new.

  3. Sailing NOS next week. Filling out the online check-in form on the RC site. The Guest Info/Reservation section required that I provide our middle names and the form indicates that the names must match our passports. Our passports do include our middle names. However, the SetSail pass does not show the middle names; just our first and last names. Will this be a problem when boarding?

Used to sailing Celebrity and do not recall having to provide our middle names during check-in.

  4. Here's a photo of cabin 7208's balcony on Summit. We have been in this cabin on both Millie and Summit and absolutely love it. As you can see, at certain times of the day, it is very shaded. We prefer the options to sit in the sun or to be in the shade. We loved having breakfast on the balcony each morning.

We had no issues with the folks in the PH suite below. I believe it's really the luck of the draw. Because all the balconies on the aft are very large, it's just as likely that a group in any of these cabins could have a large group that might be noisy.

Also, Deck 7 is farther from the aft bar on Deck 10, so the music and noise from it is very muted and not disruptive.

I'd book this cabin in without a second thought! Enjoy!

  5. Please excuse the slight departure from this thread's topic, but I am wondering about the dress code in Michael's club in the morning. We are Elite, but have not used the Michael's Club perk. I understand that smart casual is required, but does the dress code also apply in the morning - or just in the evenings? Can you walk in dressed in "port" attire or does it have to be smart casual? We are going to Alaska in May and most likely will not be dressed smart casual when preparing to disembark on port days.

  6. The aft facing cabins on Millie (and her sister M class ships) are great cabins. They have huge balconies - partially covered and partially uncovered so you can have sun or shade. The balconies on the Deck 7 cabins are the largest and they get progressively smaller on Decks 8 and 9. Even so, they are by far the largest balconies for non-suite rooms.
