  1. When our youngest two were 3 & 5 yo we bought snorkel rafts. They were fantastic!! We added a rope and towed them behind us. We always bring their life vests, and they happily wore them as they looked through the window at all the fish. Ours is the Sea View Calypso brand. We brought a small hand air pump to inflate them and used a water bottle to fill the window. They worked so well that my now 8 &10 yo still remember them. They really work and they could see the fish and coral very well.

Here is a thread about the raft from 2010.

Thank you so much for this idea, I just ordered one for my 3yo for our cruise, I hope he loves it!

  2. Hilton Rose Hall is pretty close to Falmouth, only about 20 minutes. The main pool is huge and gorgeous. Then they have another pool area with a swim up bar, lazy river and water slides. They just added a new beach section which is nice. Food was also awesome. My 7 year old had pizza, jerk pork, some desserts and snacks and loved it all. It was pricey but really worth it.

Was the beach rocky? We are really considering taking our 3 year old!

  3. Agree, Labadee is a beach day you don't want to miss. The last time we visited Jamaica with a 2.5, 1.5 and 6 month old we booked a day pass through resort for a day. We were supposed to go to Jewel Runaway Bay but rough waters led to us docking in Montego and not Falmouth. We ended up a Hilton Rose Hall and had a fabulous day. Your old kids will love the water park at each Jewel or Hilton. The twins, probably the same if they are water babies as both feature lazy rivers.

Otherwise, if you aren't looking for a beach/resort day you may want to look at rafting (not white water) down the Martha Brae. This was reco I received but ultimately decided to go with the beach day in Falmouth.

Tagong I am considering Hilton Rose Hall for a day with my 3 year old, but our port time in Falmouth is 10:30am-7pm, so I am wondering how long we'd be at the resort? My LO usually naps in the afternoon, although I have a feeling this vacation may change all that for us! Can you enjoy both beach and pool there? Really trying to decide if it's worth it for us!

  4. Thanks so much, He turns 3 a couple of weeks before we leave, so I still think of him as a toddler!! He is actually small for his age and still sleeps in his pack and play at Nan's, but I should check on that, as he is now just over 35". We just assumed the main dining room - I never thought of feeding him earlier and popping him in the Adventure room while we eat, that is a great idea! And I did not know there was such thing as inflatable rails, I will search for those asap. He has actually still been in his crib, but just started hopping out this week, so time to make other plans. Life was so much easier when he stayed contained while sleeping :)

  5. Hi there, We are travelling on Harmony of the Seas Western Caribbean in March. We have travelled with RC before, but never on a ship this size, and first time with our toddler. Also the first time with a Central Park balcony (we've always had ocean view balconies). I am feeling overwhelmed by all the things to do and planning that needs to be done in advance. Also trying to picture how we will arrange cabin with the play pen. (And where I'll be while he naps!) Any information or insight would be really appreciated. Thanks!!
