  1. The Waterbus is public transportation, like the bus etc. and they have a timetable, so asking them to wait is not possible.

It is possible to do it by public transportation, but I guess it takes you more then an hour with a couple of changing metro and bus.

If you have time enough, then it is doable. Most of the drivers can help you in English.

It is a lovely place, I live near Kinderdijk, but it is time I have to visit it again. 😉

    edit:

    maybe these links will help.

  2. It is the most known tour from Iceland, and you can book that with a ships tour but also with independent tours. You wil go to Thingvellir National Parc, Gullfoss waterfalls and Geysir.

  3. I agree, leave the city. We didn't do the South Coast, because it was further away, a lot of travelling for one day they said. We did do the Golden Circle, and loved it. When we got back we had a stroll through Reykjavik. Take a small company, we used GeoIceland. Next day we had half a day, and visited Krysuvik, a big beautiful lake (one of the deepest), the Blue Lagoon on the outside, some cliffs and some other places with another company, Back to Iceland. Enjoy it, for us it is one of the favorite places we have been. :-)

  4. If you have the chance I would suggest to do a tour in Kotor. Kotor itself is great, but not so big. We did a tour with Popmilo and it was so beautiful. It is also not so expensive. It was the best port we had this cruise.

I was trying to place some pictures, but it seems not to work.IMG_1471508187.704658.jpg.fe640de0a49587e65e0d3855e962a249.jpg

  5. We used PK travel last week, and we loved it. Mailcontact with Patoula was very good. our driver Dimitris was already waiting for us outside. We arrived at the Acropolis early so it was not that busy yet. Dimitris told us a lot about Athens and Greece. We did what we wanted to do and even more. We also went to a viewpoint the big excursion busses can not come. We would use them again, great tour!

  6. We used Gold Street Travel for our Santorini tour. Went to Akrotiri Ruins, Pyrgos, Oia, Ferostefani (not sure if I pronounce it right) . You can say if you want to stay somewhere longer or not. We did also Oia last, the cruise excursions left Oia then, and it was more quiet. We heard from people who where there in the morning, it was very busy. It was also less expensive then a cruise excursion.

  7. We used Rome in Limo last week when we were on the carnival Magic, and highly recommend them. For Rome we had Francesco, for the Amalfi Coast and Herculaneum we had Gioanluca, and they both were great. We saw a lot more then we would have when we were there on our own, and they told us a lot about the places we were. Francesco also used a book for for example the Colisseum, so we could see how it was in the past, and how it was now. Loved what he told us about Rome.

They both speak very good english ( probably even better then me ;) ).

Gioanluca gave us even bottles of water, and my son a bottle of soda, and when we arrived at the port a bottle of Limoncello! When we were in Herculaneum it started to rain, and it was really bad when we arrived in the port. But fortunately he could stop very close to the ship, so we didn't get too wet.

We will use them certainly again and will recommend them to friends and family.

  8. "lorif", since you had Maurizio for your driver - did he speak English well? He's suppose to be our driver/guide for Siena/S.Gimignano next month. I haven't been able to find out much about him on the message boards, so I'm glad you can address my question. Thanks.

Did you get the information of who the driver is, or do you have to ask that?
