It just happened to me while using Safari. So now I’m using the Tapatalk app to browse. Hopefully it won’t happen with the app.

The designers didn't think this through very well it seems.
Definitely not. All other cabins the upper cabinets flow so nothing sticks out as a danger.
-
Is that cabinet even usable? Surprised they haven't rounded the corner? Maybe they can retrofit some stick on rubber nubs to alleviate the sharp corner.
I looked at another pic I had and from what I can tell, it's not useable for passenger use. There are light fixtures underneath but I have no idea why the cabinets are so big.

With the new cabins, there is a very tight space to walk between the bed and the wall cabinent. So with this and since the new cabins have the upper cabinetry sticking out, it can cause any tall person to hit their head. You would actually have to duck or move your head to the side when walking past it. And the corner of it is not rounded at all which makes it even more dangerous. DH is 6"1 and he easily cut his head. Thankfully it wasn't a major cut.
We estimated that anyone around 5"8' or taller would have an issue. He hit his head while sober and in the daytime. Can you imagine the impact if it was on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night - or if he was intoxicated? To further avoid this issue, we changed his side of the bed to the other side and tried to make sure he didn't have to use that side of the room.
I added a pic to cruiselinerooms to show.

I'm sorry. I don't know how to post videos/photos. But check out the Carnival Victory FB page for photos.

We've had many Carnival inside cabins but the new beautician cabins can be dangerous. Please use caution. I had to move my husband to the side of the bed closer to the door since he cut his head. This is definitely a design flaw.

We were in Cozumel in May. The price for a carton of Newports was $29.
Thanks happycruiser!

I've done it & will be flying into FLL again for my Ecstasy cruise in a couple of weeks. I'm using SAS transportation. They charge $15 per person. I've also used QLS and would recommend them also. It's pretty easy - no hassle. Just call them when u get your luggage and they will be there within 15 minutes - maybe less.
-
places like St.Thomas and St.Martin cigarettes are around $20 a carton.
I bought a carton of Newport in Grand Cayman for $25 )the ship price was $37. They delivered them to the ship though.
Does anyone know what cigarette prices are in Cozumel?

On days when the Mongolian Wok isn't serving shrimp, go over and get some shrimp from Blue Iguana Cantina to put in your bowl.
-
Thank you for your review.
I have traveled with my family in big groups so I completely understand your frustration in Key West. I'm traveling with a group on the Ecstasy in September - but I'm planning my own things to do in port. I learned my lesson lol.
I'm glad you enjoyed your cruise.
-
Does this also mean that the $5 match play is no longer offered with the classic cocktails?
-
Yep!! Me and hubby did it last month on the Serenity deck of the Pride. Hubby had the crazy idea one night so we took our pillows and blanket and off we went. We actually really enjoyed it.. Nice and quiet and the air was wonderful.. A few people popped up every now and then for a sec. A crew member was hosing off the deck and glass & when he seen us he actually apologized for disturbing us.
It was fun to do something we've never done on a cruise before.. And best part is - we were actually able to get into one of those infamous clamshells that we've been trying (unsuccessfully) for all week ;)

Thanks PensFan. That's great info to know. We probably will do the Megabus overnight as it seems like the cheapest option. Thanks for sharing.

Hi - me and my mother are new to Norwegian. We are going on the Breakaway on Oct. 5th and are so excited that it is a girls only cruise. This will be her 7th cruise and my 3rd (I have only been on Carnival). I have a few questions about smoking on board - I know you can smoke in the casino and on deck 15 at the poolside bar - is there anywhere else? We like to sit on deck at a table and relax and have a smoke or two - can we do that??
I have received this cruise through The Rivers Casino and we are only doing the Inside Room since we have a family cruise planned for May, 2015 so we cannot upgrade to a balcony.
Also, has anyone purchased cartons of cigarettes on board, if so how much are they?
I have enjoyed these threads so much and am constantly on here reading reviews and tips. Thanks to everyone for all the great info.
One more question, we will be taking the train into Penn Station and will get there at 10:55 - we plan on going directly to the port - will that time be ok?? I thought I read somewhere that the ones with the free cruise board after Handicap and VIP's - is that correct? Will it matter that we won't be there till 11:30 or so??
Hi, I'm from Pittsburgh and also have a free cruise from Rivers. We're considering doing the 11/9 sailing. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it total with the port fees & taxes? I think I'm eligible for an OV but just trying to get an idea of total cost of this "free" cruise.
Also, are you taking the Amtrak into NYC? I checked my dates but don't see anything that gets me there that early. I'm just trying to check out whatever transportation options I have. I certainly don't want to pay the NYC parking fee.

Fivehole, thanks for the report.
We're thinking about doing this for our May cruise. Were there any activities or games going on while you were there? I wonder if this depends on the whether or not they have a big crowd.
Also, do they still have the trapeze? And is there a cost to try it?
-
I checked for my sailing and it looks like they got the pricing fixed. It's a little bit cheaper than the Summer Sale - about $270 cheaper for 4 ppl.
-
Also, only the L shaped rooms on deck 6 on the Breeze have 2 windows.
-
I had cabin 8462 on the Breeze. I loved the location and the balcony. I posted some pics on cruiselinerooms dot com.

I was disappointed with the Mongolian grill on the Fascination. I like mine over rice and they only had noodles. Only had 3 sauces to choose from, the mild (no pepper) was black bean and I'm not a black bean fan, the slightly hot (one pepper) was Thai BBQ and the hottest (2 peppers) one I don't remember cuz I knew I didn't want the hottest so I chose the BBQ sauce. The sauce was ok. My husband thought it was just ok also. Neither of us went to the Mongolian grill again.
I just got off of the Fantasy and found out that you can also ask for soy sauce to be used. It was great. I ate there everyday. Give it another try next time around.
Keto; what are some alcohol drinks that you like to order?

While I do try to give myself a lil wiggle room since I’m on vacation, I try to drink Captain & Coke Zero. They had Coke Zero on my last 2 cruises on Independence. I hope they have it on Adventure in October.
