  1. Hey everyone,

My family is taking the MSC Seaside on June 16th and will stop in Ocho Rios. I know that we want to see Dunn's River Falls since this is our first time in Jamaica.

My question is whether it is recommended to book an excursion to Dunn's River Falls or just grab a taxi to the falls and pay the entry fee. What is everyone's experience/opinion on which one to choose?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

You can book an excursion independent of the cruise ship there is a number of tour operators on this forum to choose from. I've use Peat Taylor tours in the past very good company.

  2. We are heading back and expect to use them again. What tour did you take?

Hey Britney, so we did the White River Tubes and Blue Hole Tour. I must say they were both very great excursions. The tubing had both soft and hard rapids on the way down so we got both a exciting and calm ride. Then the blue hole had us in all excitement jumping, swinging and climbing waterfalls. The guides at both excursions were very personal, they took special care of everyone in my family.

Our driver was Oneil Taylor he is Peat's son, We had very amazing, personal and funfilled day...:)

  3. I have been with Pete Taylor tour before and enjoyed it a whole lot. I will be going to Jamaica in October and was curious about the prices for the Blue Hole and White River Tubing excursions. if its also possible to take a Canon G10 down the White River Tubing

  4. Our family visited the Blue Hole last August with Peat Taylor Tours and loved it there! Between hidden caves, thrilling cliff jumps and exciting rope swing plunges into the most beautiful hues of turquoise water you’ll ever see, our visit to the Blue Hole was the highlight of our vacation!

You can get to the bottom of the river where the falls is without jumping and we did not have any difficulties climbing back out again.

The guides were extremely helpful and courteous and treated us like V.I.P's. They held on to our camera for us and took photos of us too! How much you would like to tip your guide is really up to you. We planned on tipping our guide $20.00 but since we ended up with two guides this amount was split between the two.

To see photos and video clips of the Blue Hole, I have attached our YouTube video of our time there.
