I want to follow your post. My brother want to bring my mother on an Alaskan Cruise next year and I would love to see which one they should look into too.

Something like this happened to me on my Wedding cruise. I booked as a group early and then the prices dropped so much about 6 weeks out. I called and complained and they wouldn't upgrade out rooms. They did give us a bottle of champagne and strawberries in our room and a $50 on board credit per cabin. And yes you have to go through your agent. Your agent can call the cruise line and try to get you an upgrade. Or maybe they can offer you a free excursion or onboard credit. Good luck!
