  1. Was on VotS through the Med for the last two weeks. I would say alot of people were wearing suits. I was surprised really. We had three formal nights, the third one, I would say the majority of men were wearing a suit. I didnt dress up in a suit until the last day myself.

There are no restrictions though. As mentioned, it's only a suggestion.

We are sailing on 08/08/2015. Which three nights are the formal nights? Thanks for your help!

  2. I am thoroughly enjoying your review, IRISH Cath! We are scheduled on Vision out of Barcelona the summer of 2015. I'm wondering on which days of the cruise are the formal nights? I understand that night two was the first formal night? Am I correct? What other formal nights are there. Thank you so much!

  3. Exactly the same applies in europe.

note that if you are on a round Britain cruise it hardly ever leaves british territorial waters.

Casino staff were vacationing for 4 full consecutive days and then worked 2 hours following evening and 2 1/2 the night after that.

    Ridiculous !!

  4. Very disappointing casino! Closed 4 continuous days, and open 2 hours on following day, 2 1/2 hours on the day after that. 12 day cruise ONLY 4 sessions of Bingo! This experience has us research MUCH than the ports on future cruises!!

In January out of FL for a weekend cruise, casino staff worked more than time off of August cruise! They were also happier, pit bosses were sweet and talkative.

This was a real education on what research you need before booking a cruise, or going on the Ruby with the casino staff vacationing with you!

  5. The stern cabins on the Radiance are wonderful and do have very large balconies. The area is generally very quiet and views of the wake are mesmerizing. We did B2B in one - Sydney > Perth > Sydney in cabin 1100 and it was our favorite cabin ever, on any cruise line. The disadvantages - they're quite a walk from the elevators and they sell out very quickly! If you get a chance to book one, do a search for the ship and cabin number on the RCI forum or on Google or even YouTube - there are usually plenty of pictures and reviews due to the popularity of the cabins.

My Hubby & I are interested in the B2B Sydney - Perth and reverse. We are wondering if there are things closed on board since ship is close to land a lot? We just did a British Isles with Princess where out of 12 days the casino was closed 4 consecutive days and only open between 2 and 3 hours on the next 2 days. Some licensing problem (between 2 nations & they didn't want to take the chance either would file claim against them, so they didn't open at all, not even Bingo or cashiers to assist with currency. You can understand why with that length of trip, hubby is being overly cautious. Also how was the internet service? If you used it, hubby has to do work via internet off & on daily during cruises. Thank you for your assistance on this.
