  1. You are allowed non alcohol bev on most cruise lines and pay a $15 corking fee for wine - or more depending on the size of the bottles.

What I can't figure out are these people who bring their own sheets, beds, toppers for the beds - I mean I have 3 bags going now for DH and I, with none of these things. Although I do have a quite a few of the small things mentioned - I am going to use them - even if I don't need to - just to justify bringing them to my DH

  2. Some roll calls are very busy as soon as a person books and then NOTHING!!! It is very discouraging!!! You feel like a bug when you post more often that the others, but it is just that your excited! M & G are organized as well as other mingle stuff. Why join the roll call when your are not interested in mingling with others on your cruise. Just go on your cruise and don't worry about who's on it and don't enroll!!!!!!!!!

  3. I gotta tell ya, I thought the post re: turning the wrong way off the elevator took the cake! Hey I do that on a daily basis at home! I mean, does that make me a newbie? Hummm, new at the local mall, new at the local hospital, new at the office...........humm yup must be a newbie. But seriously, I never carry a purse, now I may carry one of those waist casino bags ---- ya ok newbie stuff. But it carries my sunblock lipgloss (newbie stuff), my s & S card (I mean I was told don't leave your stateroom - not hotel room, without it), my tip money (for those outragous $$ drinks I can't do without), hey I'm on holidays, if I wanted cheap drinks I would have looked for an ABC bar with no windows. And yes in AWWW of the ship, I mean we own a 16' fishing boat, come on of course I'm in awe! Lanyard - hey never thought of that - I carry it in my waist bag thingy. Yup I'm a newbie and proud of it!! Can't wait for the next one 14 days and counting! :p

  4. I am here just to get a idea of what and where would be the best place on the Dawn or one of the port of calls. Also open to other ideas.

    Help Thanks :)

What NCL Dawn cruise are you on? I think the newlywed/notsonewlywedgame idea is great.

Another idea would be to have someone with a video camera and someone else posing as an interviewer- pretending to ask questions about how they are enjoying the cruise and is it a romantic place to be or if they are a young married couple honeymooning or something to that extent. That way you know it will be on video and she would never expect it. (Just a thought):p Good luck - I hope your going on the 12/12/10 cruise - and let us know on the roll call what and when u plan this - I would love to see it!

  5. :) hi! stephanie and dan here.......i was just wondering what is the most bizarre or wild craziest thing you have ever seen on a cruise..stephanie and dan

HATS OFF TO YOU FOR STARTING THIS THREAD!!

I can't believe how long this thread has kept going! It took a few days to go thru, left some housework, stayed up later than I normally would, but OMG what a HOOT! Didn't know so many people had such a good sense of humour.

Last Dec. we went on the NCL Sky. In Nassau we met a couple from another cruise ship waiting to go on the rum boat excursion, While waiting she kept telling me to be careful with the rum as it is very effective and hits you fast. She said most of these people waiting will not be quite the same coming back! Quiet now, but not later. After getting on the rum boat they went to the upper deck and we stayed on the lower. Never seen them again until the walk back. Can you guess who was the drunkest couple? Yup, too funny! It was about a mile back to the ship, but I swear she did 3 miles. She was staggering sooo bad. My husband tried to get their attention calling out his name. She just puts her hands over her ears and with her husband hanging on to her arm just kept stumbling along . I think she may have had a long talk with the big white telephone in her stateroom that night! Who says what happens in......., stays in......... Not with cruisecritic.com around.:D Perhaps after our NCL Dawn cruise next month I will have a bit more humour to share. And if you are on that cruise, be careful, I'm watching U!!!

  6. How do you know where the bed is in all the staterooms and where do you find all the pics. I could look at a ship all night and still wouldn't know where one room is or another other than the description on the web sites. Are you a TA or just really, really informed about ships? Is it all ships or just the Epic your familiar with? I am sooooo amazed!! You are getting so bombarded with questions! ;)

  7. No kidding! We are going on our 1st cruise on NCL Dec. 14th and all this info is sooo helpful. I am nervous about booking an excursion with a private group rather than with the cruiseline due to hearing horror stories of the cruiseline not waiting for you if you are late whereas they will wait if you book thru them. My real problem is finding a park sleep cruise deal in Miami the night before we leave! If anyone has any info please please let me know.
