  1. We were just on Allure over Thanksgiving. We couldn't wait to get off. Our son turned 10 on the cruise. We too wanted something cheaper after 4 Disney cruises. Our son wouldn't go into the kid's club after the first day. RCCL can't touch Disney as far as the kids stuff. The staff there didn't do ANY of the stuff on the Navigator. They would only let them play games that included a ball. I got the feeling they didn't want to take the time to clean up any messes. The times the clubs are open is weird too. They close for 2 hours over lunch. AND what they do not advertise is they start charging 8.00 an hour after 10PM. THAT is when they bring out the "fun stuff" video games, Wii U, computers ect. More of their nickel and dime you to death.

We decided we'll just pay more and get more with Disney. I won't even go into the food & drink aspect of it. We'll stick to Disney.

  2. first 2 cruises we took the shuttle, mass confusion on everyone's part. Sooo much easier to call a taxi at your leisure or sometimes there are empty ones waiting, but I would call ahead anyway. Our last cruise we WERE taking the shuttle, but our time or more aptly people with bigger tipping power kept getting our spot, so we just called a taxi and sailed right over. Pulled up to the curb, took our our luggage, ect. I think it was 20.00 for 3 of us including tip.

  3. I have seen little to no mention of the kid's clubs on Allure. I'm a little worried that our 9yr old (turns 10 the day we get off the ship) will not be as entertained/happy as in the Disney clubs. Can anyone tell me something, anything to give us hope that this will be a good experience for him!? What kind of activities do they have? Were your little people having FUN? I need fun stories to tell him, he thinks it's going to be horrid compared to DCL. (he has no interest in the character type meet & greets)
