Hi All:  Just finished checking in on line for our January 8/24 trip from Mumbai to Singapore.  Only problem, where are our printable luggage tags?

Any thoughts!

Have not travelled yet with Viking...but have sailed on Oceania ships frequently.  Have been to Rome a number of times....we have always arranged for private tour with driver and guide.  Well worth every penny...bypassing all the lines, not sitting on a tour bus for hours.  No other way in my opinion.

We are booked but not yet paid final payment.  Itinerary includes three days in Myanmar.  There is a DO NOT TRAVEL advisory for both Canada and the United States, yet Oceania will not declare any changes to the itinerary.  We already have five sea days in an Itinerary of 20 days so an additional three would also represent "a cruise to almost nowhere".  Thoughts?

Any thoughts on why cruise companies don't just cancel this port and substitute other locations prior to having to make final payments?

We have travelled on both lines, and both ships. We have found that Oceania in our humble opinion is a superior product and, with cost of airfare included has worked out to be a better financial decision. Love Holland, but love Oceania more. Enjoy either way!

Was on Riviera in October to Med. Had cabin 12002. Fantastic. Close to everything, but once the doors close, its as if you are on a private ship. Highly recommend.

We were in Cabin 12002 in October Barcelona to Athens. Will be booking this cabin again. Fantastic. Easy access to just about everything, but once those doors close, you could be on your private ship. Loved it!

be careful what you are buying

as Buggins suggested look at the carrier's description of the seats they offer they usually have a picture of the seating on their website & the type of plane on the route

Watch out for all this new lingo that makes you think you are actually getting something extra when you are still just in Econ seats

Air Canada has true Premium Economy on their 777`s. Extreme comfort and leg space

I'd say price it on your own and compare it.

Absolutely worth it! Just flew to Barcelona and then returned from Athens...14 hours flying. Premium Economy well worth it!

We have just come back from a Barcelona to Athens trip. Weather for all destinations was very summer-like. Many locals commented how long the weather is holding. I also found out that the tour season seems to wind down around November 10. Our guides/drivers told us they were planning their vacations after that date. Hope this info helps! Absolutely an amazing trip!

Thank you for your responses. It was through Oceania on the Regatta. I am happy to say I received a call from Miami today. Everything has been sorted. We look forward to a fantastic voyage in Oct. Barcelona to Athens! Happy sailing to all!

actually I won the certificate at an Oceania luncheon in Vancouver. The idea was that we would get it if we booked a cruise within 48 hours....which we did. We booked through Oceania directly and now they say "oh yes, but we can only redeem it if you booked with an outside TA ! So now I am trying to speak to a supervisor...apparently they are tightly guarded..no numbers given out so I need advise as to how to contact someone who can do something about this. Thanks for your replies. M

I am having trouble redeeming this certificate and am trying to talk to someone in sales. Not being successful in getting this information from Oceania. Any help out there? Thanks!

Be prepared to receive many many brochures!

Thinking we would have a higher end hotel stay prior to our cruise for our mother's 80th birthday turned into a very real disappointment. Old, stained is fine. Found someone's toe nail clippings in the carpet...disgusting. Never again.

Any travel clinic will advise you of the requirements for vaccinations when travelling out of the country. They meet with you, discuss your current health, give you the necessary innoculations and then give you the appropriate records to take with you. FYI, they are not cheap:)
