Ok, finally we get lobster bisque, lobster tails and prime rib for tonight's meal....plus they have ice cream.....whoo hoo!!!

Thanks Merion_Mom, I'll give it a shot....I've tried most of the signature cocktails from Boleros.

I'm glad I cancelled my reservation for Chops Grill tonight based on an earlier thread. Since I was sailing with Low or No expectations, I can't say I am too surprised by the lower standards seen so far. I can't claim this was a total disaster since the entertainment was great and the folks at Boleros are super friendly but c'est la vie?

...archaic infrastructure...the staff are really nice though, half came with the ship from Pullamantor.

Fortunately, we didn't encounter the A/C issues but I know of many who has :(
I also found it strange there is no ice cream available on board; overheard a conversation from one of the crew that new equipment was ordered but was not working with the archaic i

Sorry, $29.95 was for a lobster...

BTW, does anyone know why we have to pay an extra $29.95, an extra $16.95 for filet mignon and $34.95 for Surf and Turf at Starlight? I had lobster tails as part of the dinner on Anthem last December.

As for the medical emergency prior to sailing, a middle aged gentlemen was stretchered off the ship into the ambulance. From what I can see via the 6th deck, it looked like a possible heart attack since he had a bunch of sensors on his chest while being transported to the ambulance.

My wife and I are also on the May 28th sailing and noticed the dinner service was really slow.
I am sailing with low or no expectations, luckily our room was fine 7664 but our table mates told us of their rooms having no A/C.
We noticed the A/C was not sufficient in some of the public areas such as the casino, the stairwell on the back of the ship, and one of the elevators did not work.
We were late leaving Miami on Saturday due to the excessive time in trying to load all the food into the ship.
My other comment was that my Ultimate Package on Empress only allowed me to purchase a glass of wine up to $12 but I swear it was up to $14 when I was on Anthem last December..Does anyone know if this is true with their UP package on Empress?
Hoping tomorrow's tendering exercise to Grand Cayman goes fairly well

Plus any drink packages bought will show up. The nice folks in Vintages poured a few glasses of Cab while we were waiting for Windjammer to clear out.

I stayed in 7512 during December last year and it was nice.

Thanks very much for meticulously posting all the details of your cruise! Can't wait to go on Anthem in 6 weeks. Welcome to New York!

They will give you a card with the access code when checking in at the counter. If you were like me and bought 2, you will receive 2 cards.
Hope this helps.
