Thanks so much for your help Lido Deck. I hadn't even considered the Ramada Hollywood, but after your suggestion I did some checking and really like the area. And with the arts park and trolley to the beach I think it will be a nice fit for us. The hotel is a little less than I'd hoped for, but I think the area will make up for it (fingers crossed!). Thanks again :)

I have a ton of Wyndham points and was hoping to cash them in for a couple nights post cruise in March. Problem is that I am having a hard time finding a Wyndham hotel in a decent location in Ft. Lauderdale. I don't need anything fancy, as long as it is clean, but I would like to be somewhere I could spend a couple days without a car... within walking distance to the water taxi or beach or boardwalks... something like that. Does anyone out there have any advice to offer? Thanks :)

We are considering booking a deck 10 inside for a Panama Canal March sailing. We usually go with balcony cabins but could save a lot of $$ by moving inside. I am wondering if there are any lounge chairs directly outside the doors from the deck 10 rooms? We like to sit out at night and watch the world sailing by :)

I'm just going to assume that you are headed for a 7 day Caribbean, and say that I think you've got a pretty good list going. I tend to over pack, but after 4 cruises I'm getting a lot better at it. For the most part just pack what you would wear on casual summer days and you will be fine. The only thing I'd suggest is a second swimsuit. We don't spend too much time at the beach, but I have found that in the humid tropical air, clothes tend to stay wet for longer than you might like, and there's nothing worse than having to put on a wet suit

What was your initial bid with the taxes and fees?
And what zone and stars did you choose?
Thanks:)
I wanted a resort hotel in zone 8 (San Juan), so I started my bidding there at $90. Then one at a time I added zone 1, 2 and 3 (as they have no resorts) for a total of 4 bids per day adding $2 to each bid. The next day I did the same thing, starting a at $98 for zone 8 resort and then added zone 1, 2 and 3 for a total of 4 bids again that day (again at $2 increments). The 3rd day I bid 110.00 for zone 8 resort and my bid was accepted. Total cost 253.94 including fees and taxes.:)

Hi JD, I don't have any first hand knowledge, but we will also be overnighting on Oct 21 and have booked a dinner cruise. I chose the Port Bospherous Hotel as the pick up point as it is literally right across the street from the port. Good luck!
